Do you think students get too much homework?

  Agreed. If someone already has a deep understanding of the material, why tell them to do more? It is up to people that don't understand material whether they want to practice in the case they do not have a solidified understanding of a topic or not.
  
  Keeping up a good work ethic is a good thing to have all throughout school. Working hard towards the future you want to be, and working for the education needed for that.

  I'm curious to know if you're still in HS or in college now. I remember a girl saying the same thing when I was in middle school. She didn't take middle school seriously and said she would study in HS, but I didn't see after a term of 9th grade.

  Yes, indeed. I don't know which level classes people have been taking, but I'm f[SIZE="2"]u[/SIZE]cked if I don't take the time daily to study my chemistry & math. Of course, I am aware of that so I do my HW.
  
  But then again, the topic "students knowing how to work on their on" also applies to those in Grade 9 or so, whom don't even know what the hell a vector is. I doubt kids would be that responsible when it comes to schoolwork.
  
  Also, please remember that there's a difference between quality study x study quantiy.
  Simply increasing/decreasing the amount of homework isn't quite the answer.

  I've been done with high school for a while now and started college 3 years ago (I'm 21). I still stand by the fact that earlier education doesn't seem to really matter at all, so long as you take college seriously. While good colleges do care about your grades... you can just go to community college for a few years and then transfer over to finish up.

  • APUSH = ~60m/night (+30m of studying)
    
  • AP English Lang = ~30-45/night (+10m of studying)
    
  • AMA = ~30/night
    
  • A-Phys = ~30/night (+30m of studying)
    
  • Spanish = ~15/night (+15m of studying)
    
  • +Occasional Film Production recording = 2hr/day minimum, per day, per shooting period.
    
  • Not including time spent in rehearsal or other clubs...

  My teacher used to have these oral reviews with people kind of like a quiz with the material, and people would have to write new notes to study from from those. It was terrible, though, everyone preferred the actual work anyways.
