being an adventurer doesn't solve the problem of class system because devcat will update higher tier skills on classes and not adventurer.
so in the end, adventurer will be master of none.
Well, technically adventurer's don't become any weaker than they already are, but you do end up sacrificing that extra bit of strength offered by other classes for versitility. That's kinda the downfall of having classes like this, cuz if they don't pay attention to all the classes, then some classes might end up becoming obsolete.
Of course, there's still the question of whether or not you gain any stats for training skills that are locked for other classes. For instance, say I wanna rank up my ranged skills as a knight for the extra dexterity needed to weild 222 broads. If I want to rank up those skills, I'd have to become either and Adventurer or a Bard to level up those skills. But if I can't keep any of the dex gained from those skills as a Knight, then there's no point in training those skills.
Now the big problem with this is that most people here who have played this game for a decent amount of time have already trained skills of various skill types and if the above statement remains true, not only will changing classes limit our pool of available skills, but it will also make us considerably weaker.
They're not restricting you. Think of adventurers as Comboist. Your individual skills won't be as damaging BUT you get to combo from one skill to the next like none of the other classes can making you a lot more powerful in that respect. So when you think of it like that. Adventurer doesn't sound so bad.

Why would I want to settle for less can I can have it all? I mean... you know for a fact that we'll get a nerf and even if we have the ability to combo, why can't I use down attack while I'm an Adventurer? Why restrict use from using a certain skill because we're not a certain class?
Well according to the chart, you can still use down attack as an adventurer. You just can't rank it up until you become a knight.
Okay than, what if I want the passive skills Adventurers will never be able to use like Sword Mastery or Blunt Mastery? I'll never be able to 'use' them so I assume I'll never be able to get the bonuses from them.
That's where the class specific buffs kick in I'd assume. It would be really pretty unfair if they got another buff on top of that. This just means that everyone's play style will change depending on what class they end up choosing. I'm a bit more concerned about what will happen to these classes in the long run. If they don't balance this well enough, it could potentially ruin the hook of this game.
I believe merchants gain 2-3 luck a level...
And to not gain the stats gained from ranking up skills in other classes would be a MASSIVE problem anyways, I do doubt DevCat would do that, but I don't still like the idea of being restricted to things cause well... I don't play Mabi to have myself restricted to windmill when I do use magic, I mean... Windmill is already a part of my moveset and I don't want that stripped from me just because of this update; that's not right, that's just wrong.
