That's not what I said, I simply said that you can also get Dex and Int from life skills. My guess is that they might might make life skills easier to train for merchants, maybe? IDK, it still seems like an awkward class to include.
Oh okay.
That's a good idea though. Easier training supports changing classes more.

The way I'm looking at it now, as long as adventurer doesn't loose anything that we all currently have right now, it'll be fine. And that's what I mean when I say "handled correctly" when they launch this update. From what I read that's what it sounds like, but it's too early to be sure D:
Also I dunno where the post above me got the info but if it's accurate then merchant might also be pretty good for me, since I want to do lifeskills now, and if I get to keep all the normal skills that I have now on top of that then victory is mine.

I'm fine with this update for the most part.
I just wonder exactly how wizards are going to fare without windmill.

You guys are so optimistic. Let me break some of that optimism. Knights will not be able to use Mana shield. Mages will not be able to use potion making. Adventurers cannot train any of the new G13 skills. Alchemists cannot use dodge, windmill, mana shield, and they will not get the hp bonus from combat mastery. Of course, there's more but these are some of the highlights. Unless the class system gets seriously revamped by the time it hits NA, I don't see how it can be enjoyable.

Source? Besides even if that is true. Alchemist can still windmill, tank, and have HP bonus. It's called GOLEM MASTERY.

I forsee too many knights.
This is bad because it means melee will be nerfed, as devcat likes nerfing rather than buffing to balance things.
Glad I decided not to rank range...

I don't like this.
Unless they change how the game works (especially monsters), some classes will be better off than others.
And Alchemists just sound too overpowered at this moment.
Plus, what the heck? What if you trained Windmill to Rank 1 even though you wanted to be Mage? This update basically just basically gives you the middle finger.

rinaek wrote on 2010-07-25 15:42
...The only skills that they are actually nerfing in damage are magic skills.
...And if they do that, they should give people an opportunity to reset skills and go into something else. Otherwise, it's a few thousand AP down the drain, and the mages that want to do something else have to start from scratch.

I don't see why everybody is complaining, just stick with adventurer, most things won't change for you.
Aside from Adventurers, every class has something to work with:
Knight- WM
Wizard- Mana Shield
Alchemist- Barrier Spike
although Merchant doesn't seem like the combat type, they still have access to good number of skills to fight (even Windmill although not rankable)
Bards.....okay I don't know.
Just stick with adventurer if you're unhappy D:

How about this chart for skills?
Nexon Forums - G13 KR test server class skills
This is crap.
I love Alchemy. And I can't even use Barrier Spikes or Frozen Blast as a Knight.
I'm tempted to quit when this update comes to NA.
