  Billingpp takes care of the type of ban that includes permanent account termination. This is done for more severe circumstances and is not as lenient as the other type of ban.
  
  And they do read these forums. You were most likely singled out on the announcement by association to this thread.

  Truthfully, I probably deserve my ban.
  I did, in fact, have Dark Knight on an elf. Even though I did not exploit it to gain an advantage, I did intentionally use the stacking glitch for such whimsical purposes as testing how maximum damage really effects skills(Of all offensive skills, Shock and Hailstorm are the only ones that receive no bonus from it), helping a friend train Healing, or stopping a group of people from spawn camping a friend.
  I did, in fact, own a Master Lich Wand, which is an unreleased item. Even though I did not cheat or glitch to obtain it, I was aware that it was unreleased when I traded for it.
  I did, in fact, have a pet cat with the name <mini><SYSTEM></mini>, and it was the leader of a guild as well. I didn't make the cat - it was a joke from an old friend, I had the option of deleting it, and I did not.
  
  At first I contested my ban, thinking it was a billing issue, due to Nexon refusing to give me so much as an email saying I was banned for my actions in Mabinogi.
  Now that I know the real reasons behind my ban, I do not contest it, even though none of the things I did harmed anyone else, even though they were mostly caused by my time spent in the wrong crowd.
  
  I accept my own ban and am at peace with it. Personally I really don't care, as the character I spent years of time and money on was slowly becoming obsolete.
  
  What pisses me off is fact that good people are getting banned when they are innocent and have done no wrong. It pisses me off when I see names such as 'Indexu' on a list of characters depicted as the worst of the worst hackers. I barely know radionoise, yet I can say with absolute certainty, that from his posts, attitude, and actions here on Mabination, that I can tell he has never done amything on that list with the sole exclusion of 'multiclienting', which isn't very bad, first of all, and second of all, I've never heard anyone get banned for that anyways.
  
  Sabina continually insists that no one has been banned for Data Mining, when Sabina herself, upon originally posting the rule announcement, included the mysterious phrase: 'further action will be taken.'
  Immediately preluding this phrase was one stating the main action taken would be a forum ban, so what exactly is 'further action'? One must remember that it took Nexon a while to insist it hadn't banned for data mining yet. It is of my personal suspicion that it took Nexon the exact amount of time to do that as it had for them to realize how bad it was for business if it got out that they banned people for discussing their games in a particular manner.
  
  This theory is further reinforced by a particular quote from Mabinogiworld Wiki, one stating that if the wiki did not adopt a policy of no data-mined information, it would result in a precarious situaution for everyone involved, as stated to the wiki admins by Nexon representatives.

  Not saying that Nexon is fully in the right of course but at least it isn't a mystery of why you were banned. At least you are willing to admit it and not blame Nexon for it so for that you keep my respect.

  I lied in order to protect my agenda of staying in Mabinogi. I loved Mabinogi, I really did. I have no reason to lie anymore, so I don't.

  I apologize for any confusion that has come about as a result. The word "bullying" has been thrown around a lot, and that is so very far from the intent behind it.
  

  
  
  That's Tasket's version of the MWW events. Why would people even put that information in there in it's raw form? I didn't even see it and it probably isn't the proper way to do it anyways. Properly word and present the information for crimedy sakes :(

  All the templates for weapons and equipment use XML data that isn't even seen unless editing them. Ikkisuki worked painstakingly on a code that would allow them to simply post the XML data directly into the template and everything would be absolutely correctly filled out. It's slightly ironic that as the one responsible for the use of XML code on the wiki, for convenience purposes only, ended up being banned.

  I hate to say it, but I suspected that much, in your case. :P Gotta respect you for admitting it, though.
  All too often do you see people who keep lying about their actions, which is sad because it damages the credibility of claims by those who really are innocent. I also do not see how Indexu got on that list.
  
  And Tasket's post seems quite reasonable, if that's really how it happened.

  Hmmm...wasn't aware that was how the new data format for the templates were being made as I didn't look at it correctly. I still see why Nexon was upset about that as it basically ENCOURAGES people to data mine the client the very thing they are against just to post new info instead of the old days where you'd actually have to research it.
  
  Frankly, I'm more for researching the information as that's the challenge part of it. What's the challenge in tearing apart the code and copy pasting it?

  The non-XML version also encourages errors and vandalism. I remember it being an issue where people continually edited the Dragon Shield page to make it say it had more hidden defense than it actually did so they were justified in selling it at a higher price.

  That's a problem with any piece of information of course. Doesn't mean what they were doing is right. Plagarism and copyright is a major issue and the last thing they want is a copyright infringement suit. Actually, not going to go into it but I can see where Nexon is coming from.
  
  Sometimes you have to look at things at a neutral point of view and now that I've had a chance to see both sides and see both arguments I'm not that mad at Nexon now.

  Actually, the bottom line is that the wiki is now disallowed to use extremely accurate, readily available info to increase their wealth of information, just because the North American branch of Nexon doesn't like it.
