  I'd say a good number of the banned people are guilty but at the same time, I believe there are enough innocents being caught up in it to be of some concern. Another issue is that well-known violators of the ToC are still not being banned, while other people are being banned for lesser reasons.
  
  It's more of a difference between "innocent until proven guilty" and "guilty until proven innocent". The latter leads to more innocents being jailed, but not necessarily more guilty being jailed.

  You shouldn't attempt to make such conclusions, you're mostly just hearing one-sided arguments of such 'innocent' people. It doesn't mean you should assume they're all guilty, but you should acknowledge the following:
  
  1. Guilty people are going to pretend to be innocent, play victims, or plead lesser charges (friends will lie)
  2. You have no way of knowing what they person has done
  3. Nexon has a bad reputation and will typically be sided against, particularly on mabination
  
  I'd just relax, there's nothing you can do about it either way. Nexon has stated a very clear list of what they're banning for, I'd avoid those if I were you.

  I didn't say that I trusted all of the people who claimed to be innocent. I do know, however, that whenever Nexon does carpet bans like this many innocents get caught up in it and get un-banned later on (I know this because I was banned once, but released upon filing a ticket and waiting a few days). However, being a victim of such a ban, I can only imagine the people who didn't get their ban repealed. How much of it is due to incompetence on Nexon's end, and how much is it due to the player being actually guilty? Does the severity of the ban reflect the severity of their infraction?
  
  When it comes down to what matters, this entire discussion is irrelevant. Nexon does not need a reason to ban you. They can do so for any reason and by agreeing to the ToS, you forfeit any legal right to complain about it. However, we are not discussing what the point is, but the implications of such actions.
  
  Just to reiterate, I'm not worried about being banned, nor do I really care about the situation as it does not affect me or those I know very much. I just think this whole situation is poorly handled and Nexon is not making much of an effort to clearly communicate, which only deepens the rift between publisher and community.

  I suppose it was a mistake to try to reason with those who antagonize Nexon the most. I wouldn't blame someone for being scared or angry regarding these bans, but try to keep a cool head. As much as some people would like to portray Nexon as Soviet Russia, they don't exactly benefit from banning innocent people.
  
  I try to be thankful to Nexon for hosting mabinogi, without them I'm fairly sure it would just die off. If worse comes to worse and you find the customer service is too poor, you could always quit. I may not change anyone's opinion, but I feel that needed to be said. Best of luck to all those who may have been unjustly banned. Oh and before I get a response, I'm not talking about anyone in particular.

  Just file a ticket in 6-12 months, thats what my friend did after he hacked vindictus, nexon gave him partial access to charge 100k nx and he was unbanned.
