Thaumcraft updated to 3.0.1.
Among various tweaks and 'unrevealed' additions, the save format for aura and research was changed to be more stable and less likely to break, so we should go ahead and update as soon as possible.

K, I'll put that in queue tonight then. Thanks for the heads up. Btw, your tree house caught on fire while I was afk in my sky lab. Noticed it when I was coming down to fetch supplies :(
I patched up the floor portion but wasn't sure what to do with the rest of the mess so I left it for you to deal with :(
Your dragon egg also fell down as a result.
Also I'm going to have to agree with Chiyuri. Testificates look like Squidward :P

*is now scared the wood parts of her tower could get caught in fire*
*also think there might be some sort of revenge greifer's doing. as she see no reason for said house in a tree to randomly burn*

Except there's a lava source block inside the trunk of one of my trees, surrounded by cobblestone, but still.

Ya I don't know what happaned myself as I was sleeping when it occured. Nobody was on during that time either. So I highly doubt it was griefers. As for the damage the leaves and tree trunk above the crucible are all gone up to where the dirt containing the silverwood tree is

Can chests burn? I don't think so? I hope not? QQ
/had 4 chests there
Edit:
Checked, they can't.
My cute tallow golems probably died though..
This update adds Nether Bats, Thaumaturge Villagers that sell knowledge fragments that you use for research you CANNOT get otherwise. Things include little hats for golems.

Your chests are fine. They didn't burn and remained intact.

I agree, we should find an NPC village [S]so I can turn it into my castle[/S] so we can see what they do and trade with them.
Sorry your tree got torched D: It was still fine when I was on, though I'll admit I was kinda worried about that lava block. And King, thanks for restarting the server just for me last night, but I figured out what the problem is. Apparently there's a few switches on the line we have down to the states that have a tendency to fail when it gets cold, so my connection swings between my usual speed and like 10kbps. When it's on a downswing, I basically wind up with a temporary but impressive lag spike, and while most online games just freeze me for ~15s, Minecraft handles it by timing me out every time my ping spikes too high.
It's temporary, but for maybe a day or two I'm gonna wind up having to rejoin every few minutes. Hopefully I don't put too much of a burden on the server :x

If there is, I could probably stay connected if it was set to ~30-40 seconds. TF2's is 25s, and I very rarely timed out of it. Just froze sometimes and occasionally got kicked when VAC forgot what to do with me.
Also downloaded the new Thaumcraft and slapped it into a .jar. Will be ready to go withing like a minute of whenever the server updates haha.
