Take a look again. I'm not going to point out the exact time it happens, but it is true. You probably failed to see it because these are the type of bosses that don't have a long flinch animation. The flinch was something very quick like Keaghan's flinches.

Terrible? Unless you just have too much SP, f7 shouldn't really be used on Keaghan. Now, it has use to stop his OHKO move.

It can be used if you time it right. I usually do it when he does the charge up orb move or 4 slash in first form and on second form I usually wait until he finishes his self vortex.

That's not my point. What I'm saying is generally, SH would be better to use than F7. One of the only times I use it in his first form is when he's knocked down at times, or if I feel he's been in his first form too long and then I use it to try to force him to trans.

inb4 bosses have superarmor attacks.

To be fair, against Keaghan SH vs F7 isn't a clear cut one beats the other situation. SH doesn't get super armor against most of Keaghan's attacks, while you also can't really go as aggressive against Keaghan due to his relatively fast attacks. First phase is really something that's more in F7's favour as you spend a lot of time watching Keaghan teleport around if you activate SH, meaning you only get minimal usage from the infinite stamina.
Most small and fast bosses fall under that. S2E2 has Iset which seems pretty similar to Keaghan.
Anyways the flinch interupts things, and that's actually strong enough. It gives it usages similar to Massive Impact for Crossgun - which is a huge utility thing for things like Keaghan's OHKO as mentioned and Siglint's stone. Plus if you really don't want to stagger, start from out of range and sacrifice a bit of damage.
I think the new buff makes the furies hit extremely hard, so we'll see how that factors in. The fact they made Thousand Needles a Slip+L thing sort of shows there's a limit of how much we can get from a simple preview. Also we can all now call the old Thousand Needles by it's new name, Fanning Slash.
As for Fiona, I'm still looking fowards to it - but it does seem a bit lazy from the balance side. She pretty much now has 0 stam blocks and counters with a 0.3+ or 0.5+ multiplier, on every single move sans unblockables. But then again Spear Lann's getting buffs.
Also Karok's charge animation takes forever, sheesh. And Kai is still really broken, as he still has at least 4 of his rapid fires available.

From what I heard the Sword Lann revamp is not finished yet. Hopefully there is more to come, if not it'll be extremely disappointing in terms of gameplay. I'd rather have a big change in gameplay then simple number changes and dodges. This is where Ignition failed for me for Sword and Spear Lann.
