TL;DR
So pretty much same as the guy said. However, note that dex gives out defense piercing only. Much different from lance piercing.

And also wandering, why is this new patch not friendly for lancers anymore? I don't see how this can't be a boost, aside from the fact that you could lose defense piercing from the dex loss from heavy armors. Even without that boost, wouldn't piercing from lance already be stronger than clothing set even without dex penalty?

1. Absolutely none (assuming you're talking about bonus stats).
2. 50% at rank F down to 35% at rank 1
3. I do not know how pre-existing alchemy crystals will be treated once this gets implemented orz.
4. One of Hp/Mp/Sp will add damage depending on the skill (eg: stamina for sand burst, mana for shock, etc.)

Because according to one of marle's posts a few pages ago, there's a new damage formula. The new damage formula would make high protection less effective and the lowering of protection would in turn be less effective as well, if it is correct.

Cloth armor is still good for set bonuses and like light armor, neither have the dex penalty.

Can you redirect me to Marle's formula then? I can't find it. Lances still do more damage in general than other melee weapons right? I'm assuming the penetration will still have good effect. If not, I regret making a lance recently :u

Max dmg setup would be light armor (ancient darkness max rolled) + 2 accessories + heavy gauntlets for a high roll steel needle. Unless you still preferred the 20% boost of the bohemian set to magnum shot.
I guess the most logical set bonus to go for now would be the nuadha set (w/steel needle) for the demi god bonus with either a pre-reforged (rank 1, if there are any from gacha) light armor or something disposable so that you can reroll enchants.
