I don't see how. Even at 700 STR, that's only 70 defense. A significant cushion when things are hitting for 100-400 non-crit, yes, but still... "1s to my HP" is a bit of a stretch.
I'm referring to regular Hard level missions where I only take, at most, 50 damage. I don't think I've ever seen a monster hit me for 400 non-crit anywhere though...

Most mobs repeat damage so people assume they deal more than they actually do. One can get well over 100 defense without sacrificing any damage with the new patch, and that's pretty much just from stats and skills. I really do hope monsters get buffed to compensate for all these buffs, they're well overdue.

Well, critical hits ignore the defense stat. We all know how those shadow mission lancers love to crit.

With the changes to Filia and Vales, it makes me wonder if homestead objects will be added based on these new models like how the current Connous and Physis mansions, fences, and the like were based on the old models and might look outdated once the town revamp hits. Would love to have that new Filia fence.

Probably only while wearing a shield, similar to the titles for other weapon masteries.

I love how these titles now make Commerce Master useless.
Nexon, make it so Commerce Master gets you +10% transport speed. [S]And only the first one in each server gets it.[/S]

Btw, for those people that say after this update, light armor is superior to clothing. I agree that it is generally the case.
But, in KR servers, there are some good enchants that clothes have access to that light armors don't . And no, I'm not talking about restored.
One such enchant is Encore. r5 Prefix. 10~15 max, music buff 3 increase, music buff duration 5~10 increase, 50 HP bonus, with con of 5x repair cost and personalization (which shouldn't matter). That's more bonus than what enchants for light armor offers. There are enchants that will get 15 max prefix for light armors, but not ones that get combined with bard effects. So before switching your gear to light armor when this update comes, just a something to think about, especially if you love battlefield overture. This enchant was released before these new updates. Not to mention clothes are easy to spam with enchants since you can get the decent durability ones from NPC shops.

so someone from this
post made a graph comparing the amount of dex required to reach a certain balance
(X axis is the balance bonus, Y axis is the amount of dex required)
[Image: http://mabinogi.gameabout.com/uploads/mabinogi/bbs/2013/2013032110164815a0b.png]
This graph is based on actual values collected from the test server
[Image: http://mabinogi.gameabout.com/uploads/mabinogi/bbs/2013/2013032110261888213.png]
This graph is the previous graph extrapolated to +50 balance.
Based on the above graph, the person who made the graph said it would take around 1300 dex to reach the full +50 balance.

1)i think it is from white dragon
2)NA don't have de-personalized pot.
3)we don't have MoM(or this could be JP exclusive .-.)
making encore es almost impossible to obtain.
but yes i love overture x3

There are also clothes suffix that are better, not just the prefix. All of these are lord mission/white dragon enchants, though, which means 99% will never get it unless nexon releases in gacha.
The actually accessible ones are still restored/ancient ambush which is about the same as light armor.

I was thinking it'd be more like 400~500 dex which seemed fair... but 1300? That's bs. ALTHOUGH I would argue the accuracy of his findings just a little, seeing as I saw an increase of 27% balance for 170 dex (or 160 if first 10 is ignored) instead of 200+ like the chart shows.
I guess this does merit a full release of Sukima's restraints so he can continue doing what he's been doing though.

That curve is bs.

New max damage enchants?
That make me hit harder?
HELL YES.
