Aside from the dmg boost you mentioned I haven't seen any concrete buffs or new skills added yet unless I missed something. Might want to wait until the upcoming kr test update though

I heard the charge times were like 1 second for all alchemy skills and you no longer need special alchemy crystals. (i.e. life drain crystals, cloud crystals.) also, chain cylinder works 100% of the time but has a short cool down. Alchemy is getting a new skill buT it hasn't been announced.

It means that the lower your HP is the more overall damage it'll inflict.

Depends. Life Drain doesn't really need any "improvements" in the damage because it's already plenty strong, even ignoring the fact that it can damage pretty much everything in the game in one way or another.
But still, it's hard to say what the "new" alchemy damage is. How much stronger does a skill get as your HP/MP/SP increases? Like how 2.5 str = 1 max damage for melee, how much does 1 MP affect water cannon damage for instance? It could be that it takes something like 500 MP to equal the damage it can currently do, who knows? Unless someone's already posted numbers somewhere; I haven't read every post in this thread. Anyway, just because they're changing how alchemy damage is determined doesn't inherently mean it's all getting stronger.

My current knowledge with Alchemy
Skills are boosted by some stats.
WC's load time is smaller
Chain cylinder at r1 has a 10 seconds cooldown and 100% activation for all 5 charges
Special crystals are not required any more and a set number of fire/water/wind/clay are taken out of your inventory.
Okay, Just did some tests and here is some of the raw data.
379 HP -> 691 crits : Formula states I should be doing 514
669 HP -> 920 crits : Formula states I should be doing 514
No enchants, regular cylinder r1 flame rB AM and r8 Flame Alchemy
