Okay, I would like to point out to those crying about the balance change. This is the TEST server, just as gunner had changes when it went live anything we see as of this moment can also be changed.

I see your point, but from what frog just said we'd still get 80 balance as long as we have rank 1 combat mastery and the correspond mastery and the right amount of dex.

Didn't see this post. They're revamping the amount of dex needed and wearing heavy armour still murks dex, so even with the ~400 dex I have at 1/1 it's still not going to be enough.
Lance mastery doesn't add balance, and many enchants like lich and that one thing that decreases balance by 40% become pretty much useless.
It's still a minor issue, the real danger is hybridding getting murked.

Though yes, the above posters are totally correct. This is still in the earliest stages of testing lol no point in panicking. I'm sure they will either rework the balance system some more or add balance to all the masteries or even increase balance on specific weapons.

Chances are newbies will do what they've always had to do. Rely on high balance weapons until their dex is high enough to do otherwise.

Mabinogi: The one game where Wizards tank in heavy armour and close combats are penalized for wearing armour.
Unless you hybrid with magic/alch and gunner, rip.

Well, looks like those balance enchants are going to be useful if your complaining about balance.
Can anyone tell me what happens to bonuses on magic damage increasing items like the Rosemary Gloves, Hebona set, and Ego Wands.

Let the day 1 testing fizzle out. I'm can almost guarantee some changes will be made to what we see today.
If you've ever played D&D all heavy armors come with a dex penalty (and a magic penalty but apparently mabi doesn't agree with that). It makes perfect sense to take a reduction to dex while wearing heavy armor. And it does by no means kill hybriding, you just have to suck up the loss of piercing and balance and deal with it. I know a player who does fighter in heavy armor because he likes the extra defense, the game isn't all about damage. Heavy armor may become a defensive players dream while light armor becomes a damage players paradise.
