Is Mabi NA in danger of closing? - Your thoughts?

  I'm not going to hurt you. I know I spend enough but I'm no where close to Kenero's friend. Very rarely do I hit over 1k in a month unless I'm absolutely desperate for something like I was at the beginning of the year. Trying to scale back to save money. My buying hardly is enough to keep things going as it's done a hell of a lot more sporadically and is usually when Nexon throws shinies at us like miku.
  
  As for the game shutting down, I don't forsee it in the next couple years but when it does happen, any refunded NX will be welcome but I don't really care. As far as I see it, the time and money I have spent is entertainment costs that are unable to retrieved. It's all about getting what fun you can get out of the money you put in like spending a large sum of money to go Hawaii or something for vacation. It's better to write it off now before it happens so that the blow isn't that hard.
  
  I already have a few backup plan games that shouldn't fail me in 2 years and if those games do fail, there should be some backup ones there and if not, then that is when I will finally be free of games and can really expand upon my programming knowledge.
  
  Positive and optimistic thinking goes a hell of a long way to not getting your jimmies rustled. Always have a backup plan and always find the positive outcome.

  Yea it'd be depressing if it shut down. Considering how long it's lasted. But I agree that it will die in a couple years. Elder scrolls online is coming up and alot of players are switching to that. Guild wars 2 hurt Mabi alot with the B2P method. So time will tell.

  DFO also had a big bot/hack problem which the GMs never took care of.
  There was a bot hitting the max level literally every 10 minutes.

  Unless all of Mabinogi's rich players moved on to Mabinogi 2 when it comes out(which probably is nothing like Mabi 1), they probably won't close it. As it is now, there's too many people spending money on Mabinogi for Nexon to want to close it. The first sign of closing down may be if they decide to merge all of the servers into one, then that could be an indicator that the population has gone way down.

  All the more reason for Nexon to start releasing good stuff more often. If only they released all the other collaboration works from other servers, like FMA and Shana and stuff... >:o
  
  They'd also make a ton more money if they kept the limited stuff up(or re-released them more often), like the maids and butlers, which my newbie friends are always saying they want. I also never had a chance at the unicorn pets.
  
  PS: Actually now that I think of it, I think the reason Tinierme's English version shut down was most likely because it revolved around Gachapon... which could possibly be considered gambling. They probably received a ton of complaints as well, even after removing the "complete gacha reward".
  So we also should hope Mabinogi can release non-gacha things to balance it, at least.
  
  I think Tinierme's gacha was more fair than Mabi's is, though. It's cheaper and it's all wearables. >_<
  I don't know what the rule for gachapon in US is, really.

  I posted a similar thread on nexon forums. Admin locked it very quick. Either they have something to hide or they just don't want people to discuss the possibility of mabi closing.

  After listening to what morbious had to tell me about the situation and how people purposely instigate crap, he was pretty much given the OK to remove things at a whim.

  Once again, one side of the story. I have both sides of the story, hence my decision.
  
  Not to mention, i have to hear his bitching about it everyday (which i dont mind)
  And i hear the other side of it too (the people making the threads)
  
  If you want more information, i can share, but it would be getting into personal transgressions between some of nation members and nexon moderators.
  
  Also he is a fairly lax person, unless it comes to a few things.
  FUD/paranoia (which is what that thread created, FUCK THE THREAD HERE DID THAT TOO)
  Test server content (he will viciously remove it and add that name to his shit list)
  And obscene material.
  
  
  Other than that, he doesnt care.
