  As you can see, you bypass the loading part with instant cast but you still have to charge the ice up.

  The one thing I'd like to know and answered to carefully; does magic still get full critical damage after adding in magic attack? Or did DevCat revert to the old, fail magic system where only the base damage of magic receives the critical bonus?

  There's a link a few pages back that shows the armor sets and what they give, but because Google Translator's only so-so I'm under the impression it's possible to get 0/0 defense/prot on even the armor.

  Does it cause the skill to use no MP over time, or still use some? Also it's kinda lame it doesn't work with Meteor Strike. >.> Hope it works with the ADV lighting magic. (If that isn't Shockwave..XD)

  The sad thing is, this would be an amazing update if they kept the old formula with 5 int = 1 Matk. But instead, they had to savage it to keep it "balanced".

  Same here, or even 15 Int = 1 magic attack %, long as we got four new skills with it.

  I feel like magic already did enough damage with the old formula. They just needed to make them more practical -insta cast and mobil casting helped with that-
  All they needed to do was maybe added an elemental reforge thing that worked with magic and junk.

  I feel like the damage was great for adv shadow missions but in Elite and Lord or even hardmode(without proper reforges) it's very lack luster, and often times it's more of a hindrance in those levels of missions.

  Btw, for this "increase of damage", it's not. It's not increasing your character damage, but rather, the target slows down and takes damage constantly for eight seconds, similar to dischord.

  And also for anyone wondering about the bone breaker's freezing effect, it's the same as the current ice dragon.

  And also, there's a report that mobs in test server had damage buff... nearly double their original damage. One person had a mana shield level 20 reforge, and was taking 30 damage from shadow wizard in hm, and yes, the person was a mage. Currently, if some mage had that reforge, they would only take 1~15 in lord missions, this is a disaster.

  To summarize this page: Basically, with hits from the updated HM shadow warrior, with 19 def 2 prot base, trans(stage 1 falcon, lol), and shield, the person takes 80 bare damage, 40 with MS on, and 14 with MS 19 gloves. Full gear equipped.
  Without shield and reforge, the person takes 119 damage, and with buffed def/prot (55/30~35), 116 w/o MS, 110 with MS, 51 with shield+MS+ping. Strangely enough, the horse's smash does around 177 with MS, 400 without.
  Basically, shadow warrior that would have done 100 in current server does around 200 in test server (...)
  It seems like people will still value MS. Yes, the efficiency is down by ALOT. But it still serves as your 2nd HP, if not your main. Since mobs' damage is increased, MS will still be used.
  
  Additionally, for 120 def 20 prot giant, the character takes 80 damage from small sulfur spider from SS hm, 120 melee hit from FA hm wizards, 400 from archer mag. They're no crit.
  
  Tip: Shields. Thanks to shield mastery, when you're smashed with a shield, the damage is nullified by 50%, although this isn't known if it's a bug or not.
  Since new MS doesn't take character prot into account, you don't need to switch into heavy or light armors.
  For armors, it hurts less w/o MS in general for normal hits, but for high damage (e.g: smash, fireball), MS is the way to go + shield.
  
  Basically, the new def/prot favors beginners, but a blow for mid-end level.
