  Never at any point in Mabinogi's existence has playing a tank or a healer in the traditional sense ever been remotely possible. Combat has literally ALWAYS been all about damage!

  Better yet, just don't use reforges if you don't like them. I don't see the people who use them complaining as much as the people who don't use them. So to me it just looks like another classic case of people who don't use them feeling inferior and complaining because they can't afford to reforge their stuff as well. If it makes you feel that inferior and insecure just don't play with people who've massively reforged their stuff.
  
  I see no problem with it. I mean those people are paying out a lot of money or gold for this power and they apparently enjoy how strong it makes them. Not to mention that the money they blow on reforges is supporting the game. I can only see Nexon making more money being a good thing. Because I personally don't want to see the game getting closed down due to not making enough profits. So the more money Nexon makes the longer Mabinogi will keep running.

  As it is now though, it just can't compete very well with the other content. There's no easy solution for it. Either you have long cast time and very high damage to make it worth it or near instant cast time but lower damage.

  
  
  Magic could afford some time in the sun for awhile. I mean, hasn't archery been the playerbase's favorite concubine since Crash Shot? I'm really not predicting that Meteor Storm will do for mages even a third of what Crash Shot did for archers--and continues to do, as evidenced by the upcoming uber bow.

  The one thing most people can agree upon is that reforges is OP, The other ways you were trying to go about it and explain it isn't something that players who have played a long time would be fond of. Heck even those of us who pay would find messing around with the reforges we have to be unpopular.

  They don't even need to be removed just retweaked. The new stat changes does that for MS reforges, and elem reforges just need to be lowered.

  That's definitely one thing that's killing the content in the game more than reforges though. There's been so much content in the game that's just been made pointless because of some gacha. I mean why even bother getting something the normal way when there's a gacha spewing out higher grade ones that come already pre-enchanted or pre-reforged...
  
  Well on the bright side... at least the demonic weapons you can get from the replay drama tickets are only base grade and don't come with any enchants.

  "Pulling your weight" doesn't mean being some super pro who can solo lord missions. It just means being able to do your part in a party and not just sitting back while your teammates do all the work for you. I mean if someone wants the reward for completing something I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to be able to do their share of the work.

  For the ap that is required to rank most of the magic skills in mabi... Doesn't it deserve to be a little op? Most of the good magic cost over 400 ap in total and that's like 5 different spells. On top of that, magic doesn't really give any beneficial stats *besides for gunner*
  
  I wanna see a nerf to the ap cost, and the return of the old formula but not with the 20 int = 1% matk try 10 or even 15.

  Don't feel too bad. One mention of the word "magic" in here makes me an underdog as well. I have had to deal with it a couple of times in the past.
  
  It's not the stats of a player that makes one OP. It is usually the equips and enchants. There are a LOT more max damage enchants out than there are titles in Mabinogi, and some of those add well over 10 max damage at any given time. Reforges just exacerbate things.

  I suppose. At this point I'm relying on kenero's opinion that magic updates should be handled carefully so as not to overthrow balance. Which frankly died long ago
