What is the point of using magic that has less damage than other skillsets that do more damage and don't have to charge skills to release that damage?
Aren't mages supposed to be fragile glass cannons that must be protected while they cast their spells? The spells that do really high damage but are counterbalanced by their long cast time? What's the point if they have all those cast times for damage that is lower than all the other quick loading skills? It's not like they could even buff magic to end up doing more damage, since everyone would automatically get upset at magic doing a bigger damage hit, regardless of how long it took standing there, vulnerable to attacks unable to do anything while casting.
I had wanted to be a mage, but I guess I can't do that anymore because the skill set it so completely useless I'd be better off using my staff as a melee weapon. I'd probably do more damage doing that than actually casting.
I'm done with magic and maybe even this game too. It wasn't even that hard to fix, they just needed to buff the damage and maybe tweak some skills. All they did was nerf everything and add a couple of gimmick skills. Oh and by the way, one meteor does not equal a storm. It's like trying to base something off of trans alone, since the cooldown is so long. They might've made some progress but it's no where near where magic needs to be.
