Could've still been a group, but it does depend on what the motive was. I doubt it was anything majorly political (another reason why I have a hard time believing it could be an external threat as opposed to homegrown terrorists), but they obviously did do it with the utmost malicious intent. Not just because of how the bombs were made and what was in them, but also because of the location they chose. The event was too big to be just a small grudge (unless the person(s) in question were just fucking crazy sadists who didn't mind various other people getting hurt in the explosions, but honestly, I doubt that), but it was also too small to be something major. So iunno. We'll just have to see.

I have to admit, i'm kind of confused that all of the other devices weren't explosives. BPD was dismantling and supposedly detonated one of them.
If there was one under the grandstands...why would whoever did this put a fake one there? If they wanted to hurt as many people as possible, they'd put a real one there.
Also, the hospitals said they don't need any more blood but if you can donate blood you should, just because they always need blood. I probably sound like i'm sitting on my high horse because I can't give blood, but if I could I would.
I also hate how all of the new stories are mentioning that the police has been questioning multiple Saudi Arabians. Awesome. Way to fuel the racist fires.
WBC is still blaming gay marriage on this but seeing my friends react on Twitter did give me a little chuckle.
I heard about the Iraqi bombing but there were people on Reddit accusing other people of being heartless fucks because they didn't care about it as much as they cared about the marathon bombing.

Well I'd sooner rely on BBC than other news sources, I don't trust ANY of the american outlets. Not CNN, and certainly not FoxNews. They're all fueled by hidden agenda's and would love to spread whatever misinformation they have.
If the governor says there was only 2 explosives, then I believe it. I don't think the FBI or any of the agencies involved have a reason to lie about this.
Is there a possibility that there was more than 2? Possibly, but I'm not going to jump the gun and make that assumption based on a few unsubstantial news reports and hearsay.

Indeed.
Also one of the pictures, the one of the guy standing on top of the girl, is all over Tumblr with stupid shit like "HE WAS GOING TO PROPOSE TO HER BUT SHE DIED REBLOG IF U CRAI EVERYTIME"
...I don't know how you could've jumped to that conclusion by looking at just the picture.

Eh, BBC is not dreadfully objective either. When you see a documentary by that young hipster twat with his black glasses, Louis Theroux, turn it off. It's probably going to be trite bullshit, if the ones I saw by him were any indication.
It's a media corporation like any other, it just has the bonus of not being an American one.

Well if they are actually investigating then maybe it's not an inside job.

Well I would say it's still better than other news sources if you aren't going to be watching documentaries. It's an outside news source and is less likely to be tainted by American ideals, emotions, and beliefs. At least that's my theory on it.
It could also be my love of the British.

Already hard at work trying to find a conspiracy theory for this? Can't that wait until they at least finish the damn investigation? However, it is within your rights to speculate of course.

Tumblr definitely isn't immune to idiots, so don't be too surprised if you see that kind of bullshit floating around there, too. And if it's the picture that I'm thinking of, I believe that was actually a guy comforting one of the victims. Not sure if they had any other relation or not, though.
And on a lighter note, it seems like a lot of people/places are doing their best to accommodate people, which is nice. It always makes me smile when I see people coming together after a tragedy, even if it only tends to last for a little while.

That's one of the great things about the Human Spirit. In times of trial and tragedy, humans do an excellent job banding together to comfort one another and help each other out.

Do you have a first hand source or is it hearsay? It may just be a random thingy suspected by someone to be a bomb and the rest storytelling by misunderstanding and misremembering (
don't underestimate the effect of that, I noticed complete deviations of the original happenings from persons who were retelling something they were themselves involved with).

Now if only it would stay that way instead of reverting back to how it usually is. But what can ya' do.

My dad said they found 5 more explosives. They sent him to Boston but then sent him back to his town to patrol.
So he heard it from Boston PD but information changes very quickly.

I guess it was a classic case of misreporting then. "Suspected bombs" from high up turns into "bombs" low down. Or maybe the BBC source lied a bit to calm things down a little. You never know!
