Well it was the only color they had in stock.
The only problem with these is that they're a bit too tight, they kill the blood flow in my ears.
And they also have too much emphasis on bass, ugh.

Maybe ill try out some other ones, however they all refute the purpose of portability at work.
I use earphones since i have no sound card for my computer, therefore no sound jack for my speakers or my computer.

Someone's confusing noise cancellation with noise insulation!
Noise cancellation headphones are pretty awesome for travelling, when you're on a noisy bus or something. I wouldn't use them for listening at home, as the noise cancellation system actually decreases the sound quality a bit. Luckily, most systems allow you to turn it off.
Speakers > Headphones. And Logitech speakers = lol. I'm so glad I didn't take them with me when I moved. XD

Why do you keep saying this?
Headphones are designed to be used/heard by one person, while with speakers it can be used/heard by many.
They do different things and the only thing they have in common is that they transmit audio.

...which just so happens to be the core goal of both devices in question. Thinking = good.
Also, the post was directed at Kitae and RB. Should have been easy to tell. xd

Yeah, you're right.
Who needs a home theater system when I can watch movies on a portable 9" dvd player.
Also headphones are portable, where as speakers aren't.

I mean I kinda already mentioned why I can't use speakers :/
These walls are paper thin.
And they use a lot of electricity. I aint got money for that.

Yeah, I know. I just think it's a real shame. :(
Never considered the electricity cost, lol. Somehow I doubt it's a whole lot.

No sound card o.o Aren't they normally built into your motherboard? How old is your hardware?
I assumed since you've got such ahigh lvl char that you put a lot of money into your rig as well.

I was considering bringing up that (active) noise cancellation is generally shit :P But meh. When it comes down to it, they're both doing the same job even if they go about it differently. I don't think someone should ever buy headphones with active noise cancellation even if they'll be in a busy environment.

My oldest computer had a Soundblaster Pro or whatever.
This and my previous just use whatever is with the motherboard.
And i meant like the dedicated sound cards that you buy directly.
I don't like buying things unless the efficiency ratio is high.

Either American speakers are obscenely inefficent or you're talking about 5000$ over-priced over-wattaged tweako garbage amps.
My active speakers allegedly have a power consumption of a measly 2,7 W to 3,5 W per unit.
Though obviously decent speakers cost a bit more than decent headphones so you're losing out on money either way. And if you have a shitty room with shitty acoustics, all is for naught.

No. They are equipped with a sound chip,
but these are already decent electronics.

I use Logitech ClearChat Stereo. It has a mic on it that has really good quality and it was cheap.

I'm glad I got a desktop mic.
70% of the time when I up from my chair, my foot catches my headphone's cable and knocks it into the ground.
