What type of headphones do you use?

  Nah, noise cancellation is pretty amazing. Lets you enjoy music much more clearly during noisy travel, like when you're on a bus. No need to crank up the volume either. You should try it some time, it's a pretty cool feeling. When it's on and you're on, say, a bus.. you get used to the noise muffling and it no longer seems like a big deal. Try turning the system off then--the outside noise just hits you!

  The thing is closed headphones do the job too, so long as they actually take noise insulation seriously. Some "closed" headphones are semi-open or just straight up do a mediocre job of insulating sound even if the sound quality is good.
  
  I'd try it, but I feel like I'll never have a situation to try it. Almost all the environments I'm in are quiet and no one I know owns them :P

  I just put my headphones on my chair. Like, I turn them sideways and slide them on the top of it. Never tripped over the cord.

  Well I use my chair when I don't use my headphones too so it doesn't work for me. Very economical though.

  Yeah, that's the biggest problem. Gotta set them aside when I want to sit but not have them on. Not a problem very often but still happens occasionally. Not enough to go get a $1-10 stand/clamp though.
  
  The reason I actually started doing it is because I have a Y cable and it gets really messed up, stressing and gradually breaking the cable. The cable alone is over $100 (stock) so after having it replaced in the first ~6 months under warranty, I knew I had to take special care to make sure it doesn't twist around too much. It's not as big of a deal as it sounds.

  Yeah, I don't have any space left personally, and what little there is on my desk is needed for the tomcat so I don't have to push him down all the time and make him feel neglected.

  Got these for Christmas, what I use the most and love them.
  
  Used these before the Beyers after getting them for my birthday, also love them.
  
  Also have a pair of Beats Studios I won in a raffle, never use then though.
