Do ranking masteries "Early" is a good idea? I've been training Battle Alchemy skills for some time and now the only ones left to rank are..
-Alchemy Mastery (9)
-Windblast(E)
-Fire Alch(C)/Water Alch(B)/Wind Alch(D)
-Heat Buster(E)
-Frozen Blast (E)
Some people say i should aim for masteries and others say i should go and rank HB and Frozen. I'm planing of using my alchemy along with my magic, but i do want to get master battle alch too. What would you recommend me?

Do not touch the masteries, their horrid(Water and Fire mainly) due to their formulas, as for Heat Buster, I'd do that later on, work on Frozen Blast and Elemental wave.
Sorry for the late reply.

For clothing, if i don't use water alch as much, is it worth having shock stun duration?

Nope, doesn't do anything.

Hey tropa, I've got a fighter/battle alch build going on atm.
As far as my offensive alchemy goes. I'm planning on a hellfire cylinder with water cannon to build up pressure asap so I can use heat buster + ele wave heat buster with golden time as much as possible. Is it better to drop more enchants on water damage or fire damage? I'm kind of leaning towards water damage to cancel out the negative damage from the hellfire and since fire damage doesn't stack as well on heat buster than it does on water cannon.
So far the only alchemy enchants I have is boiling on my bodywear (ripple on my tidal wave cylinder since I'm not master alch just yet). All my other enchants have to do with max damage since I was a fighter before I went with alchemy.
So far I'm just about to hit rank 1 on chain cylinder and fire mastery. (still no elemental wave yet :/). My water cannon, flame burst, wind blast, sand burst, water mastery, life drain, frozen blast, and guard cylinder mastery are at rank 1. Heat buster is at rank 5 and I'm not really going to prioritize it till I get elemental wave.

Too be honest, I wouldn't deal with Heat Buster until devcat does something to it, and the masteries are next to useless when it comes to Watercannon and Flameburst damage.
I'd do tidalwave cylinder over volc/hellfire, personally cause Watercannon has less "party issues" then flameburst.
As a fighter, you should look into raincasting.

It doesn't apply?

What's wrong with heat buster?
From what I can tell, an elemental wave heat buster can hit harder than a water cannon can.

A single charged watercannon, yes.
Heat Buster's current problem is that it's "Flat" damage, which gives it a scaling problem with content.

Well, it does scale with stamina.
And it's probably why I'm not going with fire enchants just yet. I know flame burst is good but I hate having to stand in the same spot for such a long time.
Edit: Oh and what's your opinion of the abyss cylinder, I've got one but since I've yet to get master alchemist, I haven't been able to check it out.

Depends, if your gonna main watercannon.

Is it true that max dmg enchant apply to alchemy charge skills? If so i should just get max dmg enchant instead of alchemy enchant.

It does but doesn't stack with charges. It's only applied on the damage after everything gets calculated.
So for example, each water damage is worth five if you use a fully charged water cannon. Same goes with flame burst although in the case of heat buster, it's a flat damage boost.
