If you are using gunner as a secondary burst skillset, i would think max damage would be more superior due to the fact reloading takes almost no time at all and things will be on cooldown anyway.

The time i would argue clip size would be for taunes so you can make the most use out of bullet storm.

Training Tip:
Shooting Rush and Bullet Storm doesn't require any CP kills to rank up. Mostly critical hit and number of enemies hit.
Go to HARD Their Method.
Gather two-three zombie spawns together using knockback skills such as magnum shot, firebolt, wind blast, and put them against a wall and let it rip.
If you're too hard pressed to get multiple spawns together, just use the boss room and gather them together. =)

I have to take back a statement after doing some test on all rank 1 gunner skills on KR Test (after they had an update).
Shooting Rush - consumes 8 bullets
Closer - consumes 2 bullets
Far Away - consumes 4 bullets
Cross Buster - consumes 4 bullets
Counterattack - consumes 2 bullets, on off chance that you have no bullets, you will do a counter with barehand calculation
Bullet Storm - 4 bullets * number of enemies hit
Most likely NA will see those numbers.

How effective is crossbuster? Is it like smash or windmill, or more unweildly like dropkick?

Looking at these things, I think people should be wondering more about the amount of BPS (Bullets Per Second) they're gonna be using rather than their DPS.

It is more like a combination of Smash and Drop Kick as far as I can tell, you have to 'grab' your enemy first (like Smash) and then hope you don't get hit until you do the 2nd part of the attack (?)

BPS would be a subset of DPS.
That's why I'm using a dowra. Or you could get a reload reforge. Or both if you're that uptight.

Considering Far Away hits 4 times, that's quite logical xD
At late-game guns, can Cross Buster rival Dropkick/Smash in damage? I notice the 800% damage increase at rank 1.
