So after seeing some of pure's posts in another topic I'd like to challenge the concept of what it means to be end game.
Does end game mean to have capped stats?
Does end game mean you can clear all the current released content with ease?
Does end game mean you have the best possible gear you can get?
I personally think end game is being easily to clear all the released content with ease. Anything above that is absolute overkill that isn't necessary.
Like for example.
I have 9 Talents Mastered, 2 sitting at Champion, 4 sitting at Great and a bunch below that.
I also have the following stats:
647 Strength (level 57/27)
1260 Int
378 Dex (wearing Heavy Armor atm)
622 Will
128 Luck
974 HP
956 MP
787 Stam
Total Level 9,828
Total Exploration 2,607
Does this mean I'm not end game just because I don't have say 800 Strength? Which I think is silly as I've been playing for over 5 years now so I should be considered to be at end game by this point.
Not sure if I should mention my enchants at this point or if that's a bit too overkill for this discussion.
Anyways, intelligent discussion GO!

I consider end game to be once you've capped the stat used for your main skillset. Kinda like how someone needs to put in 10, 000 hours of their time to be considered a virtuoso at something. Not the best way to define end game, but it makes sense to me.

Awww I inspired a thread :U
I told u str wasn't my forte tho, I can only vouch for wat I've been told randomly about it. Dex is easy to break 1k and int even easier so I kinda figured str was the same or close to it.
And imo end game is just a term to describe a point when a players progression slows to an almost halt, when getting much more of a specific stat, gear, or skill rank starts getting to a point of small numbers increase and it's not that big a deal to strive for it....

Well then by that definition I think I'd be there for Int, HP, MP, Strength, Will and Luck. Dex on the other hand...

I feel Mabinogi has No real Endgame unless you R1 Everything. I personally Feel mabinogi makes you open goals for yourself that just wants you keep on playing while having fun while Making them goals become Finished but that's Just me.

There is no endgame because nexon keeps adding new content....
Endgame would be when there is nothing else left worth ranking and you become bored since there are no goals.
If you are working to achieve something, it is still midgame!

Endgame is when you quit. :)

A no-brainer, every skill capped. Which at least one person has done it and another one getting close.

If that's true then why do so many people toss the term end game around? I see too many people mention end game which is the reason why I was wondering.
By the sounds of it though everybody has a different concept of what end game means and thus the term end game is a relatively pointless and useless term that holds no concrete meaning or value in discussions.

End Game: r1/master/cap every skill, cap skill stats, get all the high-end enchants for every piece of gear for your intended build(s), Step 6 every weapon, save over 1billion gold, hit 200/30 every week for a month straight, do lords with half or less people than the max allowed, reforge every piece of gear with all THREE lines at max of the intended skill you want.
Those should be easy enough for some. :3

I think "end-game" is being able to use all skill sets to finish hard content (aka versatility.)
Of course, hitting pretty numbers is a bonus.
It also means excelling in your main talent to the maximum potential.

I believe end-game to be doing max damage in at least 3 skillsets. That means at least having max stats for 3 stats and also the best enchants and reforges for each set. It may seem superficial, but it's just my definition. An example would be 30k smashes, 20k climactic crashes and 10k crash shot crits in elite/MA mobs fully bulled. With BFO and all. At this point, this character only has STR and DEX. The character could easily be considered end-game though he or she does not have 1000 INT as this character can clear just about anything.
TLDR; Yes, it means you max almost everything. In at least a few skillsets.

Indeed, end game for everyone is different. I've contributed to help you know this fact.

Moresrslytho, I generally accept that people each have their own definitions for endgame. Mine is somewhat like yours, King, but it starts a bit earlier. It's more like when you no longer have to really fight to clear the hardest content. The point where it's not too hard, but also not too easy, is where I consider endgame to have begun.
In general, though, it's bad practice to throw around such a vague term. The best use of it is when prioritizing aspects of a build to describe components that have generally low priority. Other than that, it's more a mindset than a category.
