As I stated in
this thread, I've noticed the lack of WD killings going on. So I'm curious about something, as I've tried to search for reasons why people aren't bothering: What's one thing you'd want to change about raids that'd make you more willing to partake in them? I'm not sure how Mari, Tarlach and Alexina fare, but I know that on Ruairi, the WD doesn't seem to die unless it's summoned. And no one cares about Bhafel of course (I do Bhafel :<).
So yeah, what changes would you guys make to raids that'd make you want to go to them more often?
One thing I always found strange is the heavily reliance on melee for contribution. Why not just make it pertain to the weapon the person wields upon entering the field? Why does it only have to be smash for the max contri and can't be the other variants, such as magnum and firebolt, and other smash similar skills?

They should make contribution points based on damage only. Not a certain type of attack, and especially not based on healing.
They should probably improve the drop rate on the rewards, and make the dragon weaker. It takes way too long for the dragon to die, and it barely does anything interesting.
If you look at some of the other field boss raids, more people show up because it doesn't take that long.

Make it so that you can use potions while being mauled by Blade Wyverns. They're essentially OP in swarms.
Also tone down the Raptor/Wyvern summonings. I guess they're unlimited in summoning because it's to let the Garrison Role get points but then the Garrison Role rarely helps in attacking the Dragon itself. It's only focused on killing Raptors, Slayers, and Wyverns.
I guess they made raids for the purpose of having a lot of people do them but no one doing them is what makes it problematic now.

Alexina is pretty good in regards to the amount of people that go to the raids, but I personally will rarely go to BD anymore knowing that i'll likely always get Homestead seeds. [Image: http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9gcuoBe0o1qzckow.gif]
I kind of wish that blessing weren't lost upon death for raiding. I never put on any equipment other than a weapon knowing that there's likely going to be someone that'll WM/kill a lock on PD/DD. Deaths ensue. [S]And that way, we wouldn't have people skipping a heartbeat when they notice something was missing in their equipment slot. NOT FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCE AT ALL. [/S]
And make it so the Blade Wyverns have mercy on you when they're munching you to death in swarms, jesus.

White dragons are killed pretty regularly in Alexina. Can't really say the same about Black dragon though.
I'd assume it's the rewards that people go for. Especially for White dragon, there are white dragon exclusive enchants, like difficult, champion (drops in lord too, but rarer).
Black dragon doesn't really have appealing rewards besides dragon mats, and if they added in better enchants for black dragon (I don't see why not), perhaps people might actually go to it.

A big problem non-Alexinians are facing.

The amount of contribution points you earn should be the amount of Expl exp you gain at the end of the raid.

They should spawn raid mobs (like wyverns) based on the people participating in raids.

WD has some stuff I want, but the Blade Wyverns are just obnoxious. There's nothing I want so badly that I'd put up with being swarmed to death while helpless on a regular basis.
I don't mind BD so much, but it's kind of boring chiseling away at its hp. It's like punching a post for nails, except the rewards are worse.
Perhaps if the dragons were more mobile, with harder to dodge but less damage attacks and much quicker animations, I'd go. Right now, if you get hit, it's because you fell asleep or such. It should be more like 'I'm alive because I'm good at dodging attacks.' To make it non-stop, the attacks need to not ohko players, which also gives healers a reason to exist. One or two ohkos is ok, just, not everything.
Also, the adds. The raptors aren't terrible, but they seem to be there to cover up the blatant blandness of the raid. If it were more exciting, they would be super annoying because they'd make it much harder to dodge the actual dragon. Limiting their spawn and fixing it via time would be helpful, so that killing them wasn't so meaningless.
The blade wyverns, on the other hand, should just be replaced entirely. Their concept isn't fun at all. Just use Snowfield Trolls/Ogres for everything, which rather seems like what they were originally going to do.
And yes, the contribution system should count points from everything up to a certain cap. It's rather dumb to try and force a player into a certain combat style. If you have 26 str and rF smash, you're not going to be much help in melee range. Likewise if you have no healing ranks and minimal int on the healer role.

Remove this poorly designed content from the game and put these fucking enchants in dungeons or even gacha.

Some of those enchants are in Lord Missions, but are very rare to the point that they don't exist.
Gachapon is probably the much better idea. It will actually make them available to people.

The problem with that is again, you need other people to participate in that content. The minimum number of players for Lord missions seriously needs to be changed to three people or something.

Dungeons? Yes. Gacha? Nope.
Last thing I wanna see is more extreme p2w.
I could see these enchants being in abyss dungeons though.
Removing the content? Not necessary. People go for different rewards, it's alright where it's at.

Nobody. Goes.
This is not Korea where there's a million players in the server. This content requires a population base which is simply not achieved on other servers. Unusable content is poorly designed content and should either be adjusted accordingly or trashed entirely.

If the rewards are so rare and/or only applies to a certain population combined with the mission/raid requires a large number of people, these enchants might as well don't exist. (Especially true for some servers than others)
It seems like Coil Abyss Dungeon can be soloed, but Peaca Abyss Dungeon might be harder to solo or do in small group. We don't really know the difficulty of Abyss Dungeons yet though.
