Magic has been nerfed enough for a while. I'm not accepting a nerf when it took so long to get the dang thing buffed.
Now look at it, its pretty fking op. If other things get nerfed it needs to be nerfed as well. And honestly the nerf kaeporo proposed isnt even that big of a nerf at least not compared to wat it was like before.
It's not OP. It's pretty much where it should be to a point. I believe in a few rebalances but I refuse to nerf it again. Plus with the ap you spend on magic it better be. I've could have gotten into several skillsets with the AP I've spend on it.
Your kidding right? Firebolt doing 20k's every like 3 seconds, blaze doing almost 100k, hailstorm doing 50k's. Yes it is op now compared to current content.
Keep in mind that the amount of stats you get out of the skillset is more than wat you get for other skillsets. I feel the ap is justified.

Reforges dont have as much of an impact on magic skillset that they do on something like range and melee. And honestly im getting pretty tired of people trying to separate reforges from current content when its clear its a part of it and you need to consider it when calculating potential damage. The fact that it can hit that high means its warranted a nerf along with the other skillsets.
Yes it does. I have about 1.2k int without equips.
I hit about the highest a 25k crit with a hailstorm and as for firebolt 15k crits and this is with a S5 Savage wand and staff. Your not hitting that high unless your reforging. If you want a nerf stop reforging your equips. Ta da everyone gets that nerf they desire.
1.2k int isnt anything special honestly. And trust me thats not as big of an impact as a 55.5% increase in overall damage (the 50k hailstorm might have been a bit misconstrued).
"If you want a nerf stop reforging" that kind of logic makes no sense. I should nerf myself because I can hit as high as I can? I'm not going to limit myself because the content is too easy, its up to the devs to make the content difficult regardless of how high your character potential is not to make yourself nerfed.
I'm not trying to say I'm special. I'm trying to figure out how you guys are getting your numbers. Is it a enchant? is it a reforge? Do I have to do more int farming for it? More magic attack farm? I'm trying to find the OP factor.
Reforges do have an impact on magic, but the impact isnt as big as elementals can have on skillsets. The numbers I mentioned are set up numbers trying to see those numbers. I have seen 20k firebolts, and i think around 30k or so is where hail ends up (however combined with something like crisis its incredibly op because the aoe dmg doesnt diminish), the hailstorm was around 100k i think or around 70k but thats pretty ridiculous for an aoe.
Honestly int isnt even that big a factor in damage increase, the major damage for magic will come from the weapon and maybe a couple extra reforges depending on wat skill you are using. However that doesnt change the fact that reforges are a part of the game and wont be going anywhere, to ignore them or try to separate them from content is like trying to separate enchanted gear from stats before reforges were introduced, they are too ingrained into the game at this point. Not to mention saying to not use reforges to nerf yourself is in a completely different direction from character progression at this point.

S6 wont make a huge difference in your damage, reforges can make a noticeable increase in your damage. Honestly reforges do need a nerf in the end (or at least some of them), but even 15k firebolt spam is pretty ridiculous for current content. You really are looking more at magic comparison to current skillsets, but when you think about it that damage you mentioned is pretty overpowered for most content. The nerfs that kaeporo mentioned arent that big of an impact but it will help lessen the damage potential that you can have things like reforges as well.
You dont have to buy reforges, if you want more character progression they are there tho. However, trying to discount reforges as something thats separate from current content and shouldnt be place in synergy with other skills shouldnt be thought of. You have to keep reforges in mind when calculating nerfs/buffs and what requires tweaks because they do exist and are very much a part of this game now.

As of right now with basically no real good reforge that contributes to my factors as a mage I have at max hit 42k hail and 48k blaze. Reforges do effect blaze a lot but its damage without them is already more than enough. To me reforges with mage right now is just a way to get flashier numbers.
Oh sorry about that. Didn't mean to quote that then. I will agree with firebolt spam. I rather rebalance that but if they nerf that I won't be too heartbroken over it. I think the only problem blaze and hailstorm have is crisis as far as nerf goes. As for Int magic I believe its low enough as it is at least from what I've been hitting. Sorry about this but I won't keep reforges in mind alas. I don't see it as real damage.
