Nice, first time since I've been playing that I've been extremely hyped for some foreign content

Meh... I'm not too disappointed with the video... I was expecting some sort of info, but I'm just satisfied knowing that there's actually a ninja class. I can see this skill set being pure luck based, as it's supposedly beginner friendly and the supposed non beginner friendly classes consist of two contributing stats. As much as it would make sense, I don't think they'll shaft giants and go luck/dex based route, unless they plan on barring giants from the skill set by making the weapons non equippable for them. And after hearing the argument for why Luck based skills wouldn't be harmful to the game, I feel there's a good chance it will be based on luck.

I'm hoping elves benefit from this the most either through stats or higher skill modifiers, seeing as they are fragile and have hide. Giants though shouldn't be better than humans and especially elves at ninja skills so i can see them being shafted lol.

Ninja weren't really squishy, but weren't super tanky either, but they're not fragile, they trained to be the opposite. It makes sense to not have giants be good at the skill set seeing as ninja could not be more than 130 lbs, but for financial purposes I don't think the devs are going to give giants THAT significant of a disadvantage except being inferior to humans and elves at ninja skills. one could argue that anyone will be able to hide with the aggro dropping hide skill that treasure hunting skill will be giving. Thing is, even if humans have more of a advantage stat wise or through modifiers. their utility skills like running faster and hide will probably actually be legitimately useful with this skill set seeing as there's skills stopping 6 enemies at once and holding them in place, and slowing down movement speed. If humans have better stats/ modifiers, then humans will be more practical while elves will be better utility wise with the skill set making it easier for them to exploit enemies with the skill set and their ability to get away from enemies more easily.

I think you're missing my point. Anyway elves i personally feel that elves should be the best at it considering their speed and such. not humans or giants but i wouldn't mind if humans were on par with elves. Giants however should NOT be better than elves or humans at it considering that ninjas were more of a stealthy thing. The devs have shafted others in updates so it's possible giants might end up with the short stick. I didn't mention anything regarding humans having better modifiers or such because they don't need it. Basically if elves turn out the best for this skillset then it should bring an end to people being dissatisfied with elves not having a talent they completely dominate in.

Exactly my point... I'm saying even if stat wise humans are better elves will still be able to run and out maneuver enemies better, but that shouldn't relate to elves should be better all around in that skill set based on those principles. If it's luck based, humans and elves will still be on par with each other while giants won't be as good as either. I don't think they'll shaft giants because looking at it from a business perspective... it's ninja, it's iconic, and they can use it as a cash cow. No one said before puppets came out. "I sure do wish that there were a talent that allowed me to use puppets on strings to fight for me." But there have been quite a bit of people wishing for some sort of assassin/ninja class, They're definitely going to make giants not as good as humans and elves, but not enough to where it would scare them away from the skill set. maybe later on if they come out with some non iconic sort of skill set sure, but ninja I don't think so. But I'm not for the shafting of any race from skill sets really, no matter if someone has been shafted in the past, which is why I hope it would be luck based. I prefer for everyone to have a fair chance at skills, especially something as big as this.

What is your point again? People do not seem to consider elf movement speed a benefit due to AoE pets, so that still won't satisfy anyone if they have a slight stat disadvantage like with dualguns. I don't see how shafting them would equate to less money either seeing as it is not a paid feature. The same could be said for elves not having the lance talent and being much weaker in melee/fighter in comparison to others or giants lacking range entirely. I would like for all races to be equal in all talents too but that is impossible to ask for and many players probably wouldn't like that. They would see it as removing any distinct differences in the 3 races.

Oh joy, race talk. I wouldn't mind it so much if everyone could stomp everything into the ground with their 'weakest' skill sets. They haven't really done much race wise in a while and I hope/doubt they'll do it again in the future unless they plan on releasing 2 skill sets at once or something. When the races came out they already have a number of skill sets to go 'yes' and 'no' to.
Warrior: Giant+, Human, Elf -
Range: Elf+, Human, Giant--
Magic: Elf/Human(sorta), Giant-
They had room to throw on new things. Lance to move in for giant++ with elves not getting it to balance that out. Fighter was 'less' for elves but everyone had nearly the same amount of will so it didn't make a MASSIVE difference (Just like with giant magic). Then everyone got a buff so nothing really mattered anymore race to skill set wise UNLESS you didn't have any skills for it. Then they threw in puppet, then gunner. Both which were dual stat and okay with everyone. To just suddenly go "NEW SKILLSET BEST FOR BLAHBLAH!" would...be really dumb. lol
Also, we can just cut out the whole "It's gona be luck!" Even though we can't tell for sure...why? Why make a skill set based around the LUCK stat...something that does nothing but crit and arrow(and other stuff) dodge %? If it gave any stats to luck, it'd make luck supper OP for crit (which is apparently easy to get anyway) If it gave too little then it'd wind up like gunner, heavily relying off of other skills for stats, making it a bit unfriendly to new players. (Not to say that gunner is god awful to start up with or anything.) As all the major luck giving skills are typically heavy in the AP department.
It would be a great move on their part to put it as will+ something as will is so far the only stat for a skill set to not help something else from another skill set (besides a bit of crit and defensive stuff) But we can't know for sure. I really wish we had more info. T,T Though seeing that we do know from what little data we did get before it was taken out (which can all be changed), we do know for the moment that there is an attack range for the mastery. So it might function as a mid range and close up melee weapon skill set that allows for regular mid distance attacks, close up melee attack skills (like smash) while still allowing for upfront melee hits if the target is close enough ('Cus if it follows the same rules as lances with a mini range, fuck ever touching it with my net </3)
Wow, I rambled for a while there. *posts*

My point is that being able to run faster than another race shouldn't be a determining factor in who should be a better ninja... otherwise I could say humans can duel wield swords so they make better ninja or something that matches the stigma of ninja. there are qualities that humans have that better reflect ninja that elves don't have and vice versa. You're arguing that it's only fair that elves get the best advantage with this skill set simply because you feel they have an advantage elsewhere . I don't agree with ideas like that. I don't like the idea that someone should have the short end of the stick because it's happened to another person in the past. I don't want anyone to have the short end of the stick period. I'm not arguing about. I'm saying on the basis of ninja stereotypes I feel that humans and elves should be equal in the skill set, and giants have access to it just not be as good. I'd rather elves and humans be equal rather than either one of them being better. But people keep arguing with me with their feelings and opinions as to why elves should be "master race ninja class." (rolls eyes) which makes me feel like they just want it out of some notion of revenge or to stick it to the other races. If you're trying to change how I feel about the whole thing it's not going t work, it's just our feelings. I can't change that you feel or want elves to be better, but no one can change that I prefer adamantly that they humans and elves be equal for this particular set of skills.
