ninja uses str+will for its damage.
confirmed.
also found out some enchants for new skillset but since nexon didn't put it on xml file yet, i can't tell which one corresponds to which.
Oh, time to rank some fighter skills? I hope the enchants aren't too much better than the current ones... Hopefully they are just weapon enchants.

I looked into this. I still cannot confirm which stat Ninja uses, but what she is basing this on is correct. Selecting Ninja talent increases Str and Will upon level up. (This does not mean it uses both Str and Will. It could be purely Will damage or purely Str damage.)
So there is still some hopes.
I'm crossing my finger for it to be based off Dex and Will. (considering some talents give you the "oddball" stats via leveling up too).

The Ninja class needs to be based purely upon MP, as because.

I win.
But in all seriousness, I don't particularly care for this update, waiting for devcat's next move that's not an
event.

sure, "confirmed" might be too early.

says one with master fighter talent...
on topic, i just randomly translated one of Enchants effect.
Can be enchanted on Cloth, Armor, Glove, and Shoes.
When Syuriken-Mastery is at r7 or above, min-damage 3~6 increase
When Rasen-Zan is at r5 or above, WILL 10 increase
When Kage-Shibari is at r1, STR 20 increase
Enchant Regardless of rank
theres about 12 new enchants added to packfiles, but from what i see, none of them really beats current end-game enchants. good news to some, bad news to some?
Also current on-going event, which Kapra introduced, ends on June 12.
So ninja will most likely be on June 12.(reasoning: Not only the events end on that date, but a new server called Lorna and Pan Server will be open on JP mabi along with Ninja Update. .....at least that's whats written on JP official.)

Should it bother you when ninja skills seem Naruto-esque?
Overly flashy skills with long animations can get old pretty fast.It doesn't help much as well when dealing with muti aggro..*fighter cough*. I myself would prefer enough realism to ninja where I wouldn't need to do three back flips with a fire effects or something unnecessary in that nature for one attack simple attack.Ninja skills can look pretty cool and be simple aT the same time.

I hope this doesn't rely on Will. That's one of my lowest stats because I don't like Fighter.

Are people even think that we are getting this? I dont think there has been any indication for it even coming here, so the sadness is almost for naught. This would be unless theres some indication that it is coming outside of Japan, KR even.

We all know Giants > Elves if you want to do combat, anyway.

Uhm... no. Elves are already underpowered enough as it is, and I felt like they need to have one or two new talents that actually give them the most advantage in term of stats.
Giants already got four talents that gave them most benefit, and they don't need more for now.

Elves are underpowered? What? Just because they cant use lances does not mean they are underpowered at all.

Elves are a tiny bit under-powered.
They have three notable advantages over other races: Magnum Shot, Movement Speed, Hide
The first is fairly comparable to CC Firebolt in most situations. It's capable of much greater DPS versus static bosses but is generally less reliable and requires far more resource investment. The second is somewhat offset by the numerous movement speed sources which don't stack at present. While certainly valuable, it in no way compares to other racial bonuses. Hide is pretty nifty and it's really useful when used with Hydra but it's not particularly flexible during combat. Damage-wise they're inferior in all talents aside from archery, where they're only superior to Humans when it comes to Magnum Shot DPS.
Giants have the ability to wield lances (high damage, ignore 45% prot) alongside shields (enabling alchemy use or reducing damage to 1) and heavy armor (further bolstering defense) at no cost to offense. Damage-wise they're equal or superior in all talents aside from archery, which they do not possess.

Well they're not 'under powered' but compared to every other race, they don't really have much going for them other than hide and the movement speed. They aren't really the bests at range or magic like they're 'supposed' to be. Their benefits are bellow minimum at best. Mean while Giants have Every kind of Melee Talent (That does not include puppets unless you want to argue the heavy armor dex penalty, in which case I believe giants win.). They are the 'worst' at magic but the draw backs are just like the elves buffs, minimum at best.
If this skill set is STR/WILL then giants and humans will be better at it than elves. Elves get the lowest WILL stats (Though the gap is small) and the lowest STR stat (This gap is much MUCH larger).
In the end though, every race can become strong enough to stomp all current content easily. Though early/mid/even near the end, elves just feel really squishy unless you shove heavy armor on them, which harms their range dmg, which is their 'best' skill set. But eh. lol Before the str = def change, this was mainly because most people didn't set up elves to do melee, where most of the heavy HP up skills where at back then.
And before I ramble on for days, just going to say I find this extremely ironic. Back after elves came out, I didn't see many giants. No one wanted to be them. They had a few things going for them and they looked awful. After a few revamps and changes for them, they're not the 'best' lol.
