What are your thoughts on this skill? is it balanced or broken?
Pros
- Can put every enemy in this game to sleep.
- Has a diameter of 800.
- Gains a massive duration boost from Bard Talent
- Can be used without any instrument(Singing)
- 3 second cooldown.
Cons
- Sleep effect only works once
- Only has a 75% hit rate
I see this skill as broken, it literally immobilizes most threats in the game, it has little to no drawbacks.

It's broken. Lullaby with Puppetry pretty much spells out that you're going to win.

I get what you're thinking here, but think AOE summon pets first. Not just Nimbus cloud either, even stun pets can control content indefinitely if you have enough of them.

It's definitely overpowered if you like to run things solo and your main source of damage is something like melee/archery/WC/firebolt and you don't have a decent amount of AoE pets, but otherwise

this. With just AoE pets and *especially* often times multiple puppeteers in a party I rarely find times where lullaby would be all too effective (having the sleep effect last more than 5-10 seconds).
Not to mention since Vates release it seems like a decent amount of players have r1 rain casting.

I love the skill. It works with every talent and is excellent mob control. Extra damage added is also a great feature. I don't think it's too overpowered though.

Nerf Aoe pets before ya nerf my lullaby D;

AOE pets, lullaby, and crisis should all be nerfed. As Kitty pointed out in his thread, there needs to be a real fear of dying for content to be challenging (among other things that need to be added of course).
In my personal opinion, this would push a lot of endgame players to improve their synergy in party play. Of course, this needs to be motivated by a better reward system but that's getting off-topic.

Instead of making skills obsolete or nerfing them into the ground, when they make newer content have it set so that some mobs are immune or resistant to it. Kinda the route they did to elemental reforges.

But then it's only new content that follows into these new rules. It's a VERY sloppy 'nerf' patch to things. Instead of putting it out to everything in parts, it's just in this one area. It's the worst way to do it. It's on the right track but it's just not done correctly.

Imagine being in a room full of dragons, and then imagine being able to stop all of those dragons with just one ability. Yeah, its gamebreaking.
An appropriate change would be to take out the extra damage, take out music duration for Lullaby, have certain monsters immune to Lullaby, and change the one-time sleep into a two minute immunity (not increasing Lullaby cooldown).

The extra damage is rather insignificant considering a damage one player can produce.
If there are to be any nerf, it would be monsters that are immune to lulalby.

Overture is a bigger problem, but Lullaby is stupid too.
Really the entire music talent needs to be overhauled.

You say stop them with one ability but once that dragon is hit it goes back to being awake. That is not game breaking. The extra damage is only 300 which really isn't much considering you can only use it once on any monster. I really don't see anything wrong with the skill. It's not like frozen blast where you can freeze all mobs around you while also lowering def and prot.

I believed you miss the plural. Stopping a whole room of mobs for a full 30 seconds or so while the whole party picks them off one-by-one is definitely gamebreaking because they don't have to worry about any mob trying to retaliate.

Other options:
reducing the number of targets put to sleep - it starts out at 4, why not keep it at that?
Additional ranks lower the cooldown to like 30 seconds at r1.
^ This forces you to choose a select a couple of mobs to put to sleep, i.e. the boss rather than the entire room, so that you can deal with minions.
