Most Overpowered aspect of mabinogi?

  The most overpowered aspect would be stat inflation.
  
  However this is natural for games based of "stats" or increasing parameters. This happens in any rpg game, not just mabi. It just comes to the point where the PC gets too strong for any of the game content.

  Granted the total amount of time, money, or patience required to "get good" at this game has been decreasing, it's still omnipresent in character progression. Luckily a lot of these things are optional, not mandatory.

  None of these things existed until at least C5. Just because it takes some level of effort, or more commonly money, doesn't make it the fault of character progression.

  Yes I'm aware of this but that was then, and this is now. Nexon and DevCat gave us these new toys and now we're playing with them in all ways imaginable. Whether they were intended for character progression or simply as a milking bucket for Nexon's use doesn't matter. What matters is that it exists as a method to become stronger in-game. But none of these things were just handed down to us with no strings attached. We either had to pay for them, or spend time developing them, or both... with either virtual money or real money...and of course time. This is all in the name of one thing; For your character to be stronger in this game.
  
  Now this applies to any rpg, though most console rpgs you only need to spend time developing the characters and their equips, and eventually you hit a cap. In Mabi where the game is constantly being developed with new skills, equips, and new methods of bringing in the cash for Nexon...you can expect the possibilities of character development to increase almost exponentially, and this will not stop until Mabinogi goes offline. So like i said, were ranking skills, building equips, and spending money on those reforges/ace cards/combo cards so we can make our little virtual dolls more powerful. It's the only reason. Call it character progression, call if character development, call it whatever you want, it's all for the same cause.
  
  So point of it all? Everything is overpowered, but it was intended that way. People often call hax on any skill that can clear most missions in mabinogi very easily. However one must realize that a lot of people have been spending a lot of time (and money) developing these things, that it's only expected to happen. It's a power creep and it works exponentially (especially the way mabinogi is constructed). So to me at least it is very difficult to point and say "nerf x skill cus it destroys missions very easily and it breaks the game beyond belief" because honestly there just isn't any skill that is,, on it's own, overpowered.

  Also it won't matter if we get new, more challenging content, or the mobs are updated or whatever shenanigans DevCat decides to conjure up. Given time that content will also be cleared easily, with the same skills and the same methods. My guess is that's why DevCat rather concentrate on bringing new players in, cause honestly developing new, more challenging things in this game is, at this point almost impossible!

  That's because Nexon deals with power creep horribly. Every other update there's some huge unnecessary and overpowered garbage released Catering, Genesis, Talents, Battlefield Overture/Lullaby, Singing, Totems, Stat buffs, Reforges, Bone Dragon Chips, Ice Dragons/AOE pets, and so forth. You can sit there an blame the player for spending 10 minutes getting r1 Catering and call it "character progression/development", but players couldn't have had the chance to advance like that if it wasn't released.
  
  In G9 Nexon released tiered shadow missions to easily combat increased power and keep shadow missions relevant for players of all levels. Instead of expanding on this, they added one-tier Lord Missions later which bombed due to poor planning in things like reward, balancing/elemental immunity, and accessibility. If they made Lord tier an extension of the SM tiering system, you can bet more people would be making use of the content and Nexon wouldn't have had to spend a tenth as much to develop it. This is a mistake I see being repeated again and again, like with the recent Abyss Dungeons. They feel gimmicky and pointless because despite having some cool concepts like larger rooms and more abundance of mob manipulation, the core balancing issues still persist and the rewards are horrible.
  
  If Nexon had cared about the longevity of the game rather than trying to get some quick cash, I double they would have released so many broken skills and balance so poorly for power creep. When you get a fair fraction increase in damage or new massively overpowered mob control ability or so forth every other update then you're just poorly balancing.
  
  Edit: If you're still caught up on the whole classless no-level cap thing, take a look at Mabi's sister game, Maplestory. It has set classes as well as finite levels and the power inflation in that game is worse than any I could think of. Perhaps someone will show an example for me.

  This was 2 years ago. The damage cap was 999,999. I was still considered very powerful at the time of this videos conception. The damage caps on maple were increased from 99,999 (which was pretty much impossible to achieve at the time) to 199,999 with potential (reforge) release, to 999,999.
  
  By level 200, i was able to hit the damage cap of 999,999 (granted my equips were way beyond my time).
  
  Before the damage cap was actually lifted, they introduced "hyper skills" which were character enhancements and ultimates. The ultimate sklls in general had a damage cap separate from normal skills. These were pretty powerful. Here is a video showcasing them upon their release (it is what kills all the zakum arms in specific) not to mention between this video and the first video, night lords main attacking skill changed from triple throw to quadruple throw, but this isn't a necessary detail for someone unfamiliar with the game

  If you look at my character stat window, you can see how inflated my stats are due to the pay to win design of this game.
  
  
  Suddenly(not really because we know whats going to happen in advance due to foreign localisations being ahead of our version), the damage cap was increased to 50m. At the time of its release, it was pretty hard to hit it. I have a video of this as well. This is one of the first videos I made when this patch became available

  My equipment didn't change at all, and suddenly I went from hitting 1m to 30m? Well if that's not the inflation you are referring to I don't know what is.
  
  Finally, before I quit (well actually I was playing mabi during this time, I just wanted to go on maple to make a cool video) they had a revamp for my class in specific. My equips didn't change at all, and I was suddenly able to take down everything with no effort at ALL, and hit the damage cap immediately. Here is the final video showcasing that (and it was 4 months ago):

  Now, 4 months later, with some crazy stat items being readily available, hitting the 50m damage cap on bosses that have a ridiculous amount of damage reduction is incredibly easy. It's very common now, especially in the foreign localisation. I would not be surprised at all if they lifted the damage ca beyond 50m. Anyone with a couple thousand dollars to toss at the game can easily reach the 50m damage cap. This can also be pretty instant, a well funded player can reach level 200 in a matter of days (the cap is 250 now but except for specific classes which is unnecessarily detailed for someone unfamiliar with the game, going beyond level 197 grants you no extra damage).
  
  At least in mabinogi, you have to wait an extremely long period of time and work towards your stat (or stats) of choice. Its been 7 months now and I still haven't capped dex and I do 6 day rebirths. In 7 months on maplestory, if somebody had the money/mind to, they could make an account full of every class that could hit the damage cap
  
  While mabinogi has its own problems, I don't believe it's possible for this game to wind up as bad as maple did

  2 years
  3,000 main stat to 16,000 main stat
  500,000 damage to 50,000,000 damage
  
  Could you imagine if you could have 15,000 of a single stat in mabinogi?

  I'd like to point out that lord missions were added in almost 2 years ago. (7 months from it) The last of the regular shadow missions was added G11, nearly FOUR YEARS AGO. Since then we've had stat buff after stat buff.
  
  It's been almost 2 years since the combat revamp as well. Then we got talents for even more stats along with the stat uncap to 1.5k.
  
  Recently, besides the abyss dungeons, we've had nothing but story and skills. I'm not counting the daily saga as actual content because it's solo only. If it's solo, I don't count it. This is a MMO, not a SP game, so real content to me is anything you can do with friends.
  
  So of course we're going to be STOMPING THE SHIT out of shadow missions. They're nearly four years old! (I'm going to go cry in a corner for being so old now...) We're stomping everything else because they're not trying to cater to the end game players only. That's what giving us more skills to rank is for apparently.
  
  And for the last time, in a game where you can do FUCKING EVERYTHING, there's no way to fully balance this stuff (Because you can mix anything with everything.). No one is forcing you to use these tactics. Play the game the way you want to freaking play it and just have fun. If you can't do that then leave. If you enjoy roflstomping everything, good. If you enjoy making everything a challenge, good. If you enjoy sitting around Dunbarton and talking to friends, good. Just have fun and stop going nuts over what's OP and what's not.

  The problem with adding content is that if it is going to negative for your character, why add it in the first place? Noone will even bother ranking it. (Except for people like me and maybe Aubog who have too much AP with everything maxed)
  
  So every time they release content, it has to benefit the character somehow.
  
  Making it easier for low level players to do dungeon isn't necessary a bad thing.

  If you called Maplestory being dead, Mabinogi must be like super dead. Maplestory popularity is still very high. Probably one of the highest among all the Free to play MMOs.
