  Nearly failed the balloon mission in ep3 because the wyverns after the first part kept spawning below the balloon and staying down while attacking constantly. Even with the flint it was a pretty close call.

  @Kaeporo, there's no shortage of unique missions in Saga 2. Devcat did an awesome job mixing stuff up. Episode 4 has some really fun ones.

  Don't the wyverns do like 1 damage and the Alphas do 50? I left the balloon with around 900 HP.

  I'd give it more credit if the wyverns didn't do shit damage and didn't die in one hit.

  Apparently, balloon's damage intake scales with your character's stats. In my case, wyverns can take down the balloon within two minutes. Looks like a lot of grinding is in order. Like, a lot.

  But that shadow mission's an RP, it gives you fixed stats...

  Near the end i had to use the flint up in rapid succession because of how fast the hp was going down.

  In case you're having trouble with damage control in Hot Balloon mini game, the total of your Int and Will determine the damage you receive, while Str determines the damage you inflict

  Back to back damage comparison with sum of about 300 (my alt) vs 900 (myself)
  note: my alt fail in that run (gasp, spoiler!), but she passed on the second try
  
  If you have about 200 Str, you should be able to take down flying buggers with single shot, so try to shoot down as much as you can coming head-on and whatever you can reach on your left hand side (I got away without moving other turret)

  Higher Int/Will is probably giving bonuses to Magic Def/Prot. But that begs the question: does it or does it not give you fixed stats? I didn't check mines when I went in.

  Not much in a way of checking because all character menus are disabled during mission. For one, it is based solely on character stat and nothing from talent bonus or equipments (wait a sec.. that might mean my numbers are overestimated by a hundred.....)
