  Last I heard of this update it was still test server only. People might be jumping the gun, who knows what'll happen between now and when it hits live server. Maybe nothing changes, maybe everything is buffed, maybe everything is nerfed.

  As Magic is not a form of Close Combat, and this is a Close Combat update, no. Nothing for magic, yet.

  We aren't really jumping the gun. At least, I'm assuming kelvas was referring to us, because he was in our general vicinity when we all prepared for final hit. This may not be the case, but whatever. Under this assumption, final hit is still pretty viable to gear up for to give some nice burst damage even without the change:

  Yeah we have some cool buffs, but the majority of us don't currently have upgraded/reforged weapons at the same time.

  Wouldn't be able to answer that until it got to live as test server doesn't have access to bone dragons.

  Not much to say about FH in PvP other than you'll do more damage and hit slightly faster so it'll be even more cheap than it already is unless you are Pvping at 1% or something. As for archery, I don't see anything in the OP that confirms that such a thing is going to happen as it appears their main goal atm is bug fixing and close combat revamp.

  Only downside being that all the party members would have to be human.

  Yup, it was you guys that I was referring to. I was initially confused on why you guys where buffed to the extreme, but after I saw the beams, I knew. I think I also saw someone from raid with a party ad of buying a FH cooldown reforge or something. Haha.

  I would be surprised if something didn't happen, since the plans to revamp final hit already exist, and I don't think there's any reason to nerf it. Anyways, even if it doesn't come out to be good, I can just resell the beams.

  Pretty sure (well in Alexina amongst the PvPers), final hit is already "banned", aside from using its teleportation as a short of "shieldless charge".
  
  But that aside, although Giants seem to get "all the love" in terms of I guess skills and stats (or some would have it seem), if I were to ask for anything I would like to have seen something besides a stomp buff. Unless, the stomp's damage is like 100% at rF and something like 300-400% at r1. I think I'd be cool if they also added another throwing attack revamp, or somehow made it more useful (piercing or something, Javelins are fucken huge), or just make eles work on atlatls.
  
  Wonder how useful this'll make melee weapons besides lances now.
  
  Looking forward to the Glitch fixes for fighter and such.
