  For whatever reason magic shields from non-player sources shield enemies. That's why people say to take off Belisha and Yui during Girgashiy.

  and as Darkboy said, Snap Cast, Spell Walk and a few others are quite tedious to rank

  
  
  well i only have 2.6k cp so it isn't hard for me to find boss mobs. a cub should suffice. if you have a cub even with 4k cp you should be able to find something boss with ease.

  Suddenly ranking the shields is slightly less annoying.
  Went r5 on all of them to r1 natural and r2/r3 on the rest.
  also spamming training pots since for some reason you can now get 12 for what it used to cost for 2 or something.

  Natural Shield: Saga 1 Episode 7, second Shadow Mission third wave with the archers
  Fire Shield: Saga 1 Episode 10, Fireball flinging stones
  Ice Shield: Ice Wyverns near East Zardine Mana Tunnel
  Lightning Shield: Shyllien Nature Reserve Outskirts 1, Mutated Carnivorous Plants that fling Lightning Bolt
  
  Just those above locations and a pet imp makes Magic Shields pass by really fast.

  I just use that one Tara Castle SM where it spawns a Cerbeus statue that shoots three bolts and arrow, if you want to train all at once for shields.

  I'd hate to go back in there every 60 minutes due to loading Tara. Also the statue may not fire every bolt/arrow, so RNG bullshit.

  It's much faster to train them individually than to AFK near cerberus. If that's the route you want to take, it may be viable to grind the shields in Guardian of Partholon.

  I for one focus on Offensive Magic First now, then Defensive.... not sure if i'll even bother with Enchant at this moment as it seems to be too much collecting of Enchants and burning of enchants and.... mehhh xD

  Interesting, the enchants will come from dungeons and sms. Not new but just good-ish I guess. Hope it's not the tedious dungeons and then have abysmal drop rate ;^;

  It took me three weeks of lifelessness to get the Snapcast title.

  I did it during a 2x skill event, and I probably had merlin talent. Took me a few hours in shylien + mana tunnel heal spam to go from mid letter ranks to master title. Not something I ever want to do again though.
  
  What I'm currently hating is meteor master. Only got half the dragon requirements as of today.
  I'm at the point where I hope there's a double rainbow or 2x skill event soon so I can use skill pots while summoning black dragons just to meteor them.
