Just what is wrong with this new director? It's bad enough that Renovation introduced a whole bunch of overpowered skills, this extra patch is much worse now that there's a skill that effectively replaces Smash.
If there aren't any floral fairies then that might be disappointing. I guess its nice to see Brownies in action again?
I'll take 460% Bash over 400% Final Hit.
My biggest issue aside from Final Hit is the fact that axes (and blunts, to some extent) are still horribly obsolete.
I believe Bash Set Effect is +15%, so that would be 529% damage, times two hits...at a faster attack rate than Smash.

I actually know how you feel.. I use to main melee elf along time ago ..for a very short time at that, but quit it because Elves overall felt so restricted...Their only notable thing for meh personally is the Dual-gun attack running animation and raw speed. That is the best animation Nexon has ever did, and I want it for my dual-wielder main >.< I also wanna dual-wield my machete, but that's another problem.
Anyways, I doubt Nexon will revamp Elves properly. They'd probably just make their Magic and Range grossly overpowered, then call it a day ignoring quality. But hey, that's my opinion

The major thing I'm noting her is the changes to Alban Training Dungeon. This might be the chance I've been looking for to actually complete the damn thing. Now that I don't need training stones to do a party of 3, perhaps I can get Teto and Herro to join me for another crack at it.

I think it's a great change. What I've seen of the mission thus far looked pretty unforgiving, which is fantastic for higher level players, but it's good that everyone will be able to tackle some variant of it.

Bash enchancement effect is 10%.
But it's pretty strong even without the enhancement...
...Only if the skill isn't so full of bugs!

Combo cards were stopped being made a long time ago. No idea if there's any reforges related to Renovation, but it wouldn't make sense that Bash wouldn't be affected by Support or Rage now would it?
Why? Are you saying melee and magic should get short ends of the stick?
Remind me again what was the point of Bash to begin with? I only heard complaints because it was hard to use in test, but was its damage even complained about in live?

The point of Bash was to be used on Bosses. Using it for anything but that and it becomes pretty much useless as the moment you attack another mob with Bash the combo breaks and you have to start all over.
Although at the very least the stunning properties could be put to use in party play to buy time for the others

Can someone give me the rundown on the Alban Training Hall thing? I tried looking it up, but I can't read the pages. I watched a youtube video of a giant slinging javelins to kill the boss, and in the end he got perfect training for something. I just don't really get what it is/does.

Now that drawback no longer exists, combined with its very high damage Bash is now effective on everything. Also combined with its longass stun, you could bash multiple monsters and keep them locked in place.
If the point of Bash was to use it on bosses, what was the intention for Smash then? They both have similar functions in the sense that they're 1:1 attacks.

hidden: is a mess. . . this should be removed and added to its class skill tab and changed to universal skills (even archery and gunner should be able to hit with smash with a penalty on dmg or a proper meele boots, pretty much staff kick smash animation)

Smash = Slow/Very-Slow weapons
Bash = Very Fast, Fast, Normal weapons
Bash may be of some use to the former. Smash is of no use to the latter, with the possible exception of axes/blunts.
