  Not too amazing compare to others, but pretty good for me I guess. I won't have to blaze much now.

  I definitely agree with you. Lightning Rod is my new favorite spell too, it works really well while playing solo, and it's easier to use in party play. (Except when some people use skills like shooting rush when you're about to use it)
  
  One of the reasons I've always disliked blaze despite the high dmg is that you need a party that understands how it works, and then again the lag can ruin the timing sometimes, with lightning rod you can easly do MA with randoms, it might be weaker than blaze but it works if you usually play with randoms/solo.

  rank 1 snapcast + 4 stacks of icebolt let u fireball non stop with low/none mana cost. Run aroun with a beginer ice +4 wand/alchemy shield, second slot hermit staff

  The skill has a tendency to actually miss for a variety of reasons, most notably that either A: The graphic is outright lying to you how far it actually hits or how far left/right it should hit, or B: Displacement Issues.

  
  

  The skill can actually FAIL and cancel itself if you are targeted on something you cannot hit. It also aims directly forward if you attempt to quickcast it. And by forward, I mean wherever the hell it feels like is 'forward'.

  
  

  The skill does not draw any aggro at all. This means I can use it to literally farm sasquaches in the reserve. RIP my firebolt/tankgod method to doing that.

  I have had it actually LITERALLY on my screen and other party members flat out MISS what I was aiming, no displacement at all. The graphic literally goes over the monster and its untouched, no damage, likely to slap me for 3 1's in the next second or two. This is worse than displacement for Blaze, because it doesn't even need that to screw with you.

  
  
  Overall I rate this skill 4 kappas out of 5. Dope damage? Check. Excellent Graphics and mechanics? Check. Capability of being Nexowned? Check. Uses any and all of their latest favourite mechanics to place in a skill? Check it till the paper is nothing but checkmarks.

  In my experience so far, it fires directly at my cursor 100% of the time whether I charge, target, or just tap the hotkey.

  Then I assume you click to move? WSADers are more likely to miss then.
  
  A quick tap aims it where your character is facing, it only follows the cursor if you hold it.

  While I often suffer from lag and displacement isuues, Lightning Rod works like a charm. Just use tab key to lock the target thus choosing your railgun's direction.

  I do, but I just tested, and even moving to a spot with WASD and then tapping my Lightning Rod hotkey turns my character to face my cursor and then fires it off.

  I move/target entirely with mouse and have had no problems at all with aiming LR.
  And I'm someone who can not use blaze at all because of lag/displacement.

  In every single case, if the skill is fired with just a quick tap (not charged), it totally ignores the cursor and targeting and fires in the last direction the character moved (their actual facing direction, ignoring targeting).

  I imagine it doesn't check the mouse until a few frame later, hence it falls back to the movement position instead.
