I've been wondering, what determines when a Fomor Command Scroll will drop?
Or from which enemy it'll drop from.
No clue, can't find anything informative anywhere unless I have the wrong item ID (63021).

My
shrewd guess is that each drop roll checks if there's a field boss coming, and if so, if a scroll has been dropped. If not, it rolls the drop chance. This would be compiled into the server, so no way to check.
But it would explain how you get a Fomor scroll almost immediately upon killing anything in Zardine.

Unfortunately that was later, part of a later skill-uncapping update they did adding books to dungeons and stuff.
(Srsly dungeons were even less useful back then, it's hard to imagine.)
As far as "Spear of God", that's actually the internal name for "Spear of Light" itself. I know what you mean in using Brionac, but I can't find anything unless the skill is named something else and not a variation of one of those. Any "Spear of x" is just updates or gen versions of the normal skill and the skills themselves have extra data but it's on the wiki and doesn't seem to vary by rank of the skill.

It may not be important, but it's still neat to look into.
Gonna' make a thread on that 'cause it has some interesting info and I'll be making a graph or two for reward chances.

I will swear that ballooning rewards refresh on a timer, last week I got mana witch ES 2x in a row, then mana witch ES and the gold fragments (together) 2x in a row and just now I got hawk ES 2x in a row. Is there any information about how often the rewards update? Is it based on the balloon you used? For all of these I used the same balloon twice.

Nah Mabi's RNG is just weird. Like I went ancient hunting yesterday and got a bunch of male Bohemian outfits and gloves and in other cases some things tend to repeat in Mabi.
I suspect Mabi's RNG may have uh, I forget the word, something like jitter? It's that thing where an RNG advances itself a "random" number of steps that it itself decided, which in practice actually makes it less random because it will skip a lot of possible results (due to the advancement) and make the stream shorter (in addition to making certain numbers in the stream more or less likely to be rolled on, instead of an actual stream of random data).
I wouldn't be surprised if they made this kind of mistake given all we've seen, since they wouldn't be the first.

Similar thing has happened to me a while back. I got 2 armours, 3 pairs of gloves and 2 helmets of Thames set within two weeks. And then not a single piece ever again.

I can't remember when they were implemented, but if they were in the game back then, can you give any indication why having a lot of rag doll bag summons active at one time gives such horrible lag?
These dolls'd be a better distraction if you weren't severely crippled yourself while using them.

yea, its freaking annoying, they're useful for helping my lower lv alts clear the shadow wiz sm in less time (unless they decide for me to have to kill an entire set, meaning a full 5 waves, without a single one showing up) but the lag makes it difficult to fight along side them, which slows me down some, making it less useful than it would if they didn't cause the same kind of lag as players using demi

Because those dollbags are controlled by the client. Meaning any action they perform is a packet sent by the client.
Lots of dollbags = packet flooding = lag

thats a shame, if they had made them controlled by the server instead i bet alot more people would use them since it wouldnt cause you to lag like crazy

That would then become a stress on the server. Then you'd have more people complaining about server lag. There's no winner in this.
They should just make smarter AIs.

Oh so that's why.
What a pain, but at least the lag is semi-manageable with just like 1 or 2 of them out at once.
I've just been keeping doll bag usage restricted to my partners.
It's still laggy when there's a lot of dolls, but at least if they're technically my partner's summons I can control when they all get unsummoned, since they go away when my partner does.
If only the packets could be more manageable.
