I was slightly uncertain on a few points, but this should be pretty accurate:

In short, JP wiki states that luck affects both lucky finishes and gathers. NA wiki seems to have mixed that in with info from 'Japanese dataminers who wish to remain anonymous', but with the dollbag data mentioned in a previous post I'd rather believe the Japanese wiki's claim.
