I just wanted to find out what would people do if there was no way of progressing any further.
Set up a campfire and dance naked?
I mean, that's what other MMORPG players do.
I just wanted to find out what would people do if there was no way of progressing any further.
It isn't. I just wanted to find out what would people do if there was no way of progressing any further.

You go to the last frontier. Grinding out Crusader levels to level 225. I am certain that noone is even close to that in NA Mabinogi.
Dressing room completion.
Master all skills completion(which THANKFULLY hasn't been put to p2w as you HAVE to work for some of them)
Titles completion.
Play other games.
Other than things really not concerning maxing your potential, there really isn't much else in the game worth doing at the moment in regards to what do you do other than run missions to forward yourself towards your endgame.
Highest Crusader level in NA is around 110. Take note from dailies+weeklies alone it takes around four years. Probably two years if you factor in alban when it came around, so check in next year to see if anybody's capped it.
That's assuming you can get 3 heroic stones or parties with them per day. At present those are too rare to be viably spammed.
But seriously, it's a simple reason why I'm against them. Previously it was a choice for your time: grind AP or grind skill training.
How fair is it to retroactively tell me that I made the "wrong" choice all along by putting the equivalent of all the time I spent in the cash shop, while not doing the same for the time YOU spent and I forewent in favor of the other?
Imagine they released an NX potion that instantly capped archery to r1. All archery skills instantly become R1 for no AP or training. The people who invested in training that already would feel pretty screwed. Before it was a fair choice: rank whatever talent you want, and eventually everybody will have to come back and do the others. Suddenly that becomes untrue. There's an easy out for people who didn't choose that. Out of nowhere, previous investments become wasted time and huge lost opportunities compared to the rest of people.
I can't just trade in my ranks for a boatload of AP that everyone else was grinding and buy back my training with this. I am forever at an AP deficit because of how I spent my time. I did so in the knowledge that it was a thing everyone eventually had to get around to, and I was knocking it out of the way first. You can't just change that like this.
Most of the people who buy their life skills with seals will rarely if ever master them
