I don't mean Elves shouldn't complain, they definitely should LOL. I just mean at the VERY LEAST, they remained strongest in the area they were supposed to be, but it is now a very weak area. Also I'm not sure how much giving extra stats to races compared to others will change anything "end game", unless they raise the stat cap of 1500. I'm hoping they plan on doing something bigger.
raising the stat cap might not be smart, even with our current cap players are complaining of a lack of anything challenging before they even hit the cap in their main stat, and for the same reason giving more of a stat to anyone would be relatively pointless (outside of str for elves, dex for giants, and maybe will for everyone, especially elves, since its the lowest of the stats generally used for dmg)
To be honest... I don't see the point of stat cap in first place for a long time now.
Only thing I can see being a problem with no stat cap is that some people might would use a "mod" to make their stats go up to 9999... but otherwise, I would just remove the stat cap themselves from the game.
I do have to agree that humans are getting way too powerful, especially with the last few updates they have been doing. Plus... they need to stop having a hard-on for making every talent base off Str plus another stat because that only hurt elves a lot. Knowing DevCat though... watch them do a next talent based off Strength and Luck which would only hurt the elves even further since they're behind on str.
Giants does need some "buff" of some sort, yes... but if you ask me, elves need it the most at the moment.
why would you ask for nerfs when most of the players that are asking sunk way more than a year into their character, which is more than enough time to do all content in any MMO. Power creep exists, and it's probably never going to change.
Racial balance is irrelevant when after hitting total level 10k, you can roflstomp everything with mechanic exploits and sheer strength.
I mean we can all be special snowflakes in regards to racial abilities, but without content to challenge those racial abilities... Sounds like a waste of development time

Uncooked food effects are till a thing, and last I checked there is no hard cap on them. Instead, they opted to cap stats in general, in case other unforseeable sources arise.

There was quite a famous player in Ruairi who stopped rebirthing sometime around G9 cuz he managed to get semipermanent 999 dex from food.
Also, Humans have more Luck than Elves and Giants, so everyone will be pissed.
Difference on enemies with actual prot is not -that- large.
Endgame non-ele you're looking at like ~1400 raw dmg +10% bash with dual-CRK vs ~1200 raw dmg with -20 prot or something like that. Ele 6 vs ele 3 + 3 balances it out a little, but ele these days is for raccoons and barrier spikes yeah...

Where do these calculations come from? Does it factor in equips? I always get the impression that giants have better max since they blade so well with pot? :/
Yes. Dual swords just have a LOT of raw damage and they get 84% critical dmg bonus (91% if CRK) instead of 62%, 2x the mastery bonus, etc. They are definitely crazy better than a giant with fanatic endgame, but the difference is just not as large as posted earlier in the thread (someone said 2x as much, and it's not really anywhere near that, more so against things that actually have protection).
As for blade, giants can have exactly 52 more max damage than humans (so like 1200 ish with lance endgame vs 1150 ish for human). If I had access to cooking pot as a human, I'd be somewhere in the 1180s. Oblivion Swarming lv 18 max cooking pot and +2 max from a better Combat mastery skill makes up 52 max. Giants don't have play dead though, which is a bit of an inconvenience when quickly spamming VHM for gold/exp...
The most commonly used method to run VHM is to glitch girgashiy's AI upon entry.
Play dead is used by most players before entering VHM, so they don't draw aggro while a "lure" glitches girgashiy's AI so that it swings its staff in place and flies quickly.
Since giants have no play dead and rely on crisis escape, it can be inconvenient because VHM ends in 25~30s but crisis escape's cooldown is longer than that. Also, sometimes the aggro glitch may not work and the party may end up waiting for the giant's CD to be up before re-entry.
tl;dr: please give our giants play dead.
