No. Playing dead is for the weak. Giants should be able to tank away practically anything. Although fixing Taunt would be required first.

The most commonly used method to run VHM is to glitch girgashiy's AI upon entry.
Play dead is used by most players before entering VHM, so they don't draw aggro while a "lure" glitches girgashiy's AI so that it swings its staff in place and flies quickly.
Since giants have no play dead and rely on crisis escape, it can be inconvenient because VHM ends in 25~30s but crisis escape's cooldown is longer than that. Also, sometimes the aggro glitch may not work and the party may end up waiting for the giant's CD to be up before re-entry.

But crisis escape lasts 20s and has a cd of 35s, and you can use crisis a little while before entering, generally immediately upon exit/before exit, and it works fine.

Not trying to start anything, but am I the only one who sees the irony in people complaining about a lack of challenging content, and then turning around and abusing exploits? I mean, the raids are meant to be difficult, and I get that it becomes boring to run the same thing 100 times, but if you feel you have to abuse a glitch to spam it, there you go, you can potentially say it's not too easy. I dunno, it just kinda seems contradictory to me.
