So essentially what I'm trying to say is Mabinogi in its current state is unfixable. Mabinogi is simply too old. It would be better to start from scratch and make a new, better game. A sequel to Mabinogi? Maybe. It doesn't have to be one though. Just build a game with a similar basic concept to the original Mabinogi and add tweaks and different mechanics to set it apart should they choose not to make a sequel. If they do make a sequel, add tweaks and different mechanics to set it apart anyways because there is no point in re-inventing the wheel. It's better to take the wheel and apply new things to make something new out of it.
There I added my 50 cents that is relevant to the thread rather than just ranting about how Nexon has perverted Mabinogi into the unholy money making machine it is now.
They did try to make 2 sequels to Mabinogi. At first, Vindictus was supposed to be the sequel... then they change the theme and renamed it so it doesn't have much to Mabinogi. Then, there was Mabinogi 2: Arena, which they ditch last year and just focused on Maplestory 2.
Yes, the game is old, but that isn't the main problem. Guild War 2 is also old as well, but look at how it is doing. The problem with Mabinogi is that it is old AND unpopular.
Blaming game publishers is really unreasonable. Game publishers have to meet the demand of the players to keep in business. If you want to blame someone, you should blame the player-base.
