I still can't see Superman killing Cell or Kid Buu.
Frieza, definitely. But Cell or Kid Buu?
I just can't see it.
I don't think he's capable of doing so.

Goku can manipulate his body and the energy around it too, so it's possible he could just surround Superman with energy so he can't get energy from the Sun, or use his power to separate the power from Superman's body. Though.. I doubt those are possible without being at Vegito power level because he would have just done it to stop saiyan transformations by blocking the blotswaves.

I made my points with out trying to be all fanboy about it. If I did I am sorry. But as I said, the more one knows about Superman the more it seems less likely for him to lose. I mean we are talking about Goku destroying the sun, considering that Superman powers work like a battery that is constantly charged. My vote goes to Superman for these reasons:
Invulnerable to damn near everything. Weakness includes Red Sun, Magic, and Krypnonite. Can be killed through massive force that excedes his regen abilities.
Can take extreme environments.
Has yet to reach limits in any of the comic books, though has had various weakness.
Those are the three main reason as far as I know why Goku would lose, and I know more about Goku than Superman.

Ki might qualify as magic, and I'm sure Goku has enough power to crush Superman with one attack. Goku also has martial arts training, while I don't think Superman does.
Can take extreme environments.
I can't conceive of any place they would fight other than space, and Goku can fight in space. If Superman goes into an environment Goku can't get into, Goku can either blow it up or wait for Superman to come out.
Has yet to reach limits in any of the comic books, though has had various weakness.
As I said, his invulnerability is only as strong as the energy from the sun. Goku is stronger than that.

The superman in Small ville doesn't seem very strong at all.

I think Goku would definitely qualify as a massive force... I mean he could destroy a solar system a couple times over... that's gotta count for something.

I already know that Goku reaches the massive force,it is why I put it there, Ki counting as magic is in the iffy side, it can easily be another force instead of magic, need to look that up. As I stated Superman has yet to been given limits, not Goku. Goku reaches his limits when he face off against a new opponent, all Superman has done was adjust his strength. Destroying the sun as I said would be suicide for Goku. Yellow sun radiation doesn't go way because the sun is blown up, now it just transfer across the solar system, and Goku now has to contend with high dosage of UV rays, along with Superman getting a boost from it. Not to mention the drastic change in the environment. Looking at advantages in combat. Goku fighting ground is the planet itself or the spirit world realm if he is dead. Superman advantage is the entire Universe, he isn't held back by the environment. In this case advantage goes to Superman if Goku is alive, the whole dead spirit realm is Goku advangtage. (as far as I know, as they haven't explain much about the spirit realm properties with the whole sun thing and the whole DC universe spirit realm is something i do not know much about.) Speed wise Superman still have the advantage, unless Goku is going to forever keep using Instant Transmission in combat, Superman will beat him out in speed. With that all and said, Superman will kick Goku ass into next week.

Why would Goku exploit someone's weakness anyway?
Can't say who'd win, simply because we haven't seen Superman at his best yet.
Anyway, this argument is silly! Clearly, we should arguing if Tohno/Ryougi Shiki can kill a Servant if it wasn't for the immunity to death rule, or who'd win in a fight between Emiya Shirou and Tohno Shiki

Not like we place the most overpowered superhero in existence anyway. Looking at Dr. Manhattan.

I want to add stuff to this.
Superman has sterotypical superhero spandex.
He has a cape.
Also, no matter where Superman will fight in space (Except black holes), he will ALWAYS have sufficient power, seeing as light can travel an infinite distance, and in addition, stars from every direction are in space, which will hit superman and although it may be small, it will add up because there are billions and trillions of them.

Superman would win;
Id kick Goku out of the fight, simply because he has too many things he can do, compared to superman.

He reaches his limit when he is fighting a new,
stronger opponent. You can't just claim that Superman will win because his comic isn't done and the author hasn't added more powers onto his list of powers. He
does have a tangible limit.

I'm pretty sure Goku can inhibit the spread of solar energy with his ki.
Speed wise Superman still have the advantage, unless Goku is going to forever keep using Instant Transmission in combat, Superman will beat him out in speed.
He can keep using Instantaneous Movement/Transmission to outfly Superman and charge up a Ki blast in his hand while he is in that pocket dimension. When Superman catches up, he releases the Ki blast, and Superman dies.

Even light has speed. The light we see from the stars at night could have been emitted years ago. Goku can move anywhere just by thinking about it, perhaps faster than the speed of light.
....didn't they already do a comic on this? And I'm pretty sure in that comic Superman won -_-
I believe Goku won after going SS.
Edit: Here's one link that talks pretty in-depth about the whole Superman vs. Goku issue. It lists space being Goku's only weakness, but as that picture I linked showed, he can fight in space.

Much faster than the speed of light.
It takes light 8 minutes and 19 second to reach earth from the Sun. That means it would take Superman that long to reach the Sun from here, assuming he travels that fast. Goku could be there instantly, that's an entire 8 minutes and 19 seconds faster. And more than that, he could somehow stretch the time to span five 30 minute episodes. I'd like to see Superman do that.
Goku definitely wins on the speed game.
