I might be misunderstanding you, but are you saying that Reaper doesn't work with enhanced scythes or did you mean enchanted? With a +8 Cave Walker I have 29 Atk Speed with reaper on, with a +7 Ivory I have 26 Atk. If you meant that it doesn't work with the speed enchant scroll, then you would be correct. With the extra speed I find it more efficient to use reaper and just get as many hits in.
On normal mode (since it's the only mode we can see HP in) my gravity takes out about 3 bars. That's equivalent to 3 LLLLR + BT. With reaper on I am usually able to land at least 2, or 3+ easily if the boss is chained. If you're doing this in hard/hero mode, 3 hits should be enough to get you at least 1 bar. Not to mention if you are in a party where the boss is constantly being chained/palaed reaper is very helpful.
Then again it is situational, I would never use reaper in Irukul or Klaus. But, being situational it is never that one is always > other.
Just saying this to let you be a bit more informed about reverse gravity.
It resets chain time, meaning reverse grav near the end of the chain time, and bam another chain length without wasting a chain. Also, the stun effect for reverse grav is one of the big things about it, so soloing, insane reaper is better usually, but when it comes to a raid, with reverse grav your team can be damaging whatever it is you're killing while it's floating. So, yes situationally one is better over the other and usually Insane Reaper is best for soloing, and weaker bosses in my opinion. Especially weaker bosses and if you have spear Lanns on your team... No one can deny that spin 2 win rapes hard with reaper and decent Lanns that aren't total dumbasses.

Wait so Critical Hit is bad for monsters on Boat 2-3 and above, but are good for monsters that cannot be flinched such as bosses? What... :what:

Wow thanks for this guild, its really helped out.
I was reading some of the pages in here, and some of the posters got me confused. Does Str help with our attacks? >.<

Yes it does, with the Scythe, your L attacks are all strength and also your LR combo is all strength including the smash. Other smashes like LLR, LLLR, and LLLLR have two components, magic and strength. So yes, Strength does help with Scythe but it's optional whether to get Strength Mastery or not.

Yeah, sorry I haven't updated the guide for some time now, guys. I have computer issues where my computer artifacting and freezing is nearly assured if I play Vindictus. It's started just recently during normal operation too. I've already spent $600+ on different parts trying to fix it. My new motherboard will be here the 12th, so hopefully I'll be able to get that installed and my problem will go away.
I've already replaced my RAM and a couple of HDD's (they went kerplop), and I'm doing the motherboard now. I've ran every test known to man on my video card, and that's not it. I've monitored temperatures of both my CPU and GPU while it happens and nothing is overheating for sure. My motherboard I'm gonna have to replace regardless since it likely has a bad DIMM slot or something and won't detect one of my ram sticks, and it very well could be what's causing the artifacting & freezing... The mobo should fix the RAM problem for sure, but whether that is connected with the artifacting & freezing problem I dunno. I'll replace the PSU if that doesn't fix it.
Long story short... I can't get on, but I'll try to get back as soon as I can and continue updating the guide. I haven't lost interest in the game.

Just making sure, you've checked that your GPU isn't dying, right (aside from temperatures)? Cause artifacting + freezing/BSOD is how my last GPU died. It sounds like you know what you're doing though. And the RAM thing does sound fishy.

I don't think Light armor proficiency belongs in the "decide early" category. It should to be a suggested skill to rank, since Evie's higher level armors all have light armor helms.

But at the higher levels, the ap reqs to get it to what you want are so minimal that you don't need to get it until then. the only reason you should ever put ap on it in the early levels is if you wanna go light armor evie. Otherwise, she's not saying don't get it at all she's just saying if you want to wear light armor, make sure to decide early.

If you look at the change log, you'll see this guide hasn't been updated since the beginning of this year (when 44 was the level cap). And, what good would it do you to rank light armor before you reach level 61 anyway? There really aren't any INT light armor sets until then. The helmets on Southern Winter and Royal Cadet don't require near the AP investment of the later sets.

It's really not worth criticizing anything in this guide, seeing as it's so outdated.

People are always free to criticize. In fact, I could actually use some help updating it since I'm just now able to start playing again and have no clue about anything post-Blood Lord.
