This is a good example
this is not 4chan, this are forums.
Other examples of image replys
No U and that Star Trek Face palm
The cat is already fed up with news threads going off topic all the time.
Image replying sets the cat off.

Pi pikachu pi, pi pikachu. Pi pi pikachu. Pika pikachu, pika.
(If it get's seriously out of hand it's a problem, otherwise Pika sees no problem since most people troll spam anyway (EX : "Loooooool" or "-Insert very short post here that barely answers topic") . You don't see people getting warnings for quoting other users and saying, "LOL THIS". But think about it - would you rather have people being assholes and giving you a picture with a caption or people being bigger assholes using a video all the time with stuff like :

Umm, yeah. It gets very overrated.)

Well a topic dies after everyone has contributed to the original topic at least once. Happened on guru and since guru = nation (same members and blah) gonna happen here.

Use the report button instead of making an entire thread about it.

Well trolls happen. You cant stop em. If you ban their IP they'll change it. Hack into their computer and fill it with viruses, they'll fix it or a get a new one. And banning image replying wont stop em. Chances are they will just say some stupid shiz *cough* me *cough* and then post a pic.

That's why there are moderators and rules.
Unfortunately I haven't seen any rules being enforced outside of the market forum.
There are topics with spams like "lol", "qft" or "what he said... bleh bleh bleh", "qq inb4'd", some even get derailed and turned into an entirely different topic.
