Probably because they're stoned to the point where they don't notice what was going on around them, maybe that's why there's no crime
It's Canada, that's why we so peaceful.

marijuana is a social thing, just like alcohol is. it just turns out alcohol ruins lives, while marijuana will only ruin it if you just do that all day instead of anything constructive.. which you can say for any activity:what:
making weed illegal doesn't stop people from getting it, just how alcohol prohibiton doesnt work. legalizing it will only decrease the crime rate related to selling and handling the drugs, and yea increases money flow.
I do have a question. why make weed illegal, and not caffiene, or alcohol? It's not even addictive. sleeping pills and anti-depressant have worst side affects than weed.

Smoking is actually dying off. If a doctor sees a record that you smoke, then he/she recommends you to quit and gives ways to do so.
and the parents who smoke actually teach their kids to never to smoke.
You could argue that is false, but the only environment where parents teach their kids to smoke is the ghettos and cigarette industry isn't going to make much money off of poor people.
Now after smoking dies off, is there a reason to smoke marijuana at all? The marijuana advocates are going to die off due to old age and our future generation will remember weed as a meme that went on long time ago.
Just stay off of drugs, there is no reason to do it. And as for those who doesn't think marijuana is bad, you are going grow old and marijuana will be forgotten. Do you rly need to prolong marijuana's life?
You don't need Mabinogi to prolong your life. Or video games or TV or even the internet.
I don't think smoking's ever going to go away. It's something people like to do, unfortunately, just like playing video games. People have been smoking for centuries.
Also, it is a fact that marijuana is one of the least harmful drugs out there. There's really no reason to drink. Well besides the fact that you may enjoy the taste or even like having a good time with your friends. That's why people smoke weed, I would assume. It's fun and some people even like the smell. I personally hate the smell.
There's always people that will advocate for these things. And IMO, I think weed's gonna be legalized one day. Or maybe not so criminalized like it is now. I really don't think it's a bad thing. I just don't think it's for me. But like all things, I'm curious about it.

Yeah I know.
Lots of people fight for drugs too.
It's sad that kids can smoke in the streets and no one would care.

If you smoke weed as a habit (not just to try it)
you're ****ing retarded..
it should nevereverever be legalized, so what if it's ****ing better than alcohol or cigarettes? does that make it okay..?
to me talking about legalizing weed is very personal
my cousin, he's 23 years old..
he's been smoking weed since he was ****ing 12 years old
guess what.. he can no longer read or write or even add things that you learned in kindergarten..
he's handsome, he can talk the normal
he looks like the average 23 year old.. aside from when he's fixed which is normally 24/7
he dropped out of highschool..
my aunt shes spent THOUSANDS of ****ing dollars trying to get him help..
as soon as he gets out of rehab.. you know what he ****ing does..? gets high
and it's no longer just weed it's anything he can get his hands on
his girlfriend a few years ago overdosed on cocaine.. and I don't want my cousin to suffer the same fate
I love my cousin with all of my heart, and he isnt even blood since my mother is "adopted"
some of my best childhood memories are with him but I don't want this entire country to end up like him..
you can just say reasons it should be legalized or not legalized but unless you've seen what weed does to people physically with your own two eyes
you have NO ROOM to ****ing talk
now I'm going to wipe the tears off the side of my face and give you plenty of time to read and think about that

That can be the case for any drug, not just marijuana.

yes it is, but notice most of them are illegal..
this goes with prescription drugs as well.
but just because they most do it does it mean one should be legalized?
like I've said unless you know how it feels to have someone very very close to you
you wouldn't really understand, if weed or any other drug is legal that makes it okay to use it
it should
never be okay.

I was just saying, since alcohol is legal, and it can ruin lives just as bad. It's obvious your cousin used it as a gateway drug to even harder ones, which can be the case for anything.

I don't think alcohol or cigarettes should be legal either, but of course if they just made it illegal which wouldn't be possible because of voting ect anyway
all it would cause is the crime rate to spike tremendously
it's already high because of weed & coke (but of course there are many other drugs involved but those two are the top of them all)
users get caught.. eventually.
and they get out choose to use then get right back in.

i'm sorry if im being insensitive because you're going through some really hard times..
but yea I did talk about alcohol prohibition in my other long post, and It will work, the whole 50% homicide rate etc
will disappear, but it will only be temporary (low crime rates only lasted 10 yrs, it would be much shorter in this day and age) because people will just get the alcohol behind the law's back and the crime rate will spike again to normal levels (not because they're getting caught, but mainly because they get drunk and go do crimes/get addicted/commit suicide)
but yea.. marijuana is not to blame
addictive drugs, addictive drugs with negative side affects do.
if its being used with a bunch of other terrible things like cocaine which
will f*ck up your brain, then I'm really sorry.. it's really hard to re-wire neurons after they've tasted such illicit drugs for a period of time. those things do deserve to be illegal.
weed will not do that,
it's only guilty through association. but
talking to high people is not constructive at any rate.
unfortunately, you can't stop people from getting the drugs they want. If its illegal or otherwise. If it is legal, it means very little other than the fact that the government gave up and decided to control it for their health rather than depriving its people.

@Humility
I'm going to comment because I feel as if I have the right to do so. I'd like to share my opposing viewpoint, and I can say that I have had plenty of people who were close to me end up as drug abusers. Both family and friends in my life have suffered due to drug abuse. My father has always been a raging alcoholic, and he was addicted to cocaine for the first few years of my life. Once he no longer had the means to obtain cocaine, and after putting the family through an absolute nightmare, he started to abuse alcohol even worse than he already had. I doubt I really need to elaborate much on my childhood to tell you how things went. Aside from my father, several people on his side of the family throughout the course of my life have been thrown into prison for trafficking, and both a cousin and an uncle have died from drug overdose.
Continuing on, I've lost several friendships because people I used to be close to got hooked on drugs, and those drugs became their lives. For a long time, I was against drugs, until I eventually got a clue and realized who the true culprit was: people.
What you're talking about with your cousin isn't just something that applies to drugs. Psychologically, we can get addicted to anything, even if it contains no addictive chemicals. In my opinion, that's how it went with your cousin. I don't think you should be blaming weed. I think you should be blaming your cousin. It's a hard thing to accept, and it was something that took me several years to accept, and I do hope you don't take offense, but when it comes to things we hold a strong emotional attachment towards, we are ALL prone to trying to use something else as a scapegoat.
I've seen what weed can do to people, I've seen what alcohol can do to people, I've seen what cocaine can do to people, I've seen what meth can do to people, and I've seen what heroin can do to people. I don't blame the drugs anymore, I blame the people who MADE THE CHOICE to use them. I know plenty of people who smoke weed who are SUCCESSFULLY moving through college. I also know plenty of people who drink alcohol who are moving through life successfully. That's because these people are responsible enough to use these drugs in MODERATION.
Once again, I apologize if you find this offensive, and I do give my best wishes to both you and your cousin.

No neither of you are not being offensive at all, and I know that I should be blaming him. He had his chance but he kept going past the limits
and I realize can become addicted to anything, food, sex, drugs.
I appreciate both of your opinions
my post above was ignorant and made little sense but that's because I was writing it out of rage.. whenever people talk about legalizing any drug I get emotional even if its in a thread on the internet
he's the only family member I'm close to and seeing him waste his life away hurts.. a lot.
And there's nothing anyone can do about it because if he wants help he has to make that call

I understand this
especially the alcohol prohibition I think our country remembers last time
if weed is an enabler drug it still doesn't make it okay to smoke it
I've never met a person who was smart or made good decision when high (alcohol ****s up this too though)
and just like cigarettes I don't want people puffing weed in my face

I see weed as a meh drug its kinda like that whole eh w/e kinda thing
its like if you see your friend smoking sigs or cocaine your gonna do something from like smacking and saying like stop your gonna kill you self or ask them to stop
Weed is like we dont want you to do it but if you do its not that bad kinda thing
I dont take any substances any kind mainly for 2 reasons
1- after effects - ie drunk - drink one night and wake up in your friends bed nude or in a hospital bed
2- money - Even weed by my stands isnt cheap 10 dollars to get high for like 30 mins sounds expensive to me
Liquor is even more expensive then that id believe

High-quality weed might be even more expensive.
