Do you now what the Artisan Upgrade for wands are? I really want to Artisan Upgrade a Normal Lighitng wand for Fusion.. I really dont want to get Chain cast as its final Upgrade.

Double-counting Str is cool and all, but where it matters (Smash/Windmill) the bonuses are less significant.

Single-Wield
251 (Current) = 74 Max, 29 Crit, -5 Dur
261 (Artisan) = 54-82 Max, 17-29 Crit

Dual-Wield
251 (Current) = 74 Max, 29 Crit, -5 Dur each
261 (Artisan) = 54-110 Max, 20-44 Crit

Skills
251 (Current) = 148 Max, 29 Crit
261 (Artisan) = 108-164 Max, 20-44 Crit

So unless you like to N or FH, it's not a drastic winner. You can get up to 16 more max than using Nicca's upgrade, but with a 70 point variable you might end up equal or lesser to the normal upgrade. It's a little bit easier to get higher crit though.

Perhaps you could explain. Isnt the str added to your base damage meaning 140 str (2x perfect) = 56 max /46 min that directly adds to your wm damage. I don't see why that would be only slightly better than normal, is seems MUCH better. Mostly this is for wm. Since I will use a highlander claymore for most smashing.

You lose 40 max (when dual wielding) if you don't do the last Battle Sword upgrade, so you only have a possible opportunity to gain 16 max.

However, if you're doing Final Hit or N+1, the extra strength goes directly to your base making each strike that much more powerful.

When I upgraded my lightning wand, I got +60 int.
According to JP wiki, artisan upgrade for a fire wand gives 0~73 int, 2~5 hp, and 0~5 mana.
So I guess it's similar for ice and lightning wands too then.

Hold on a second, how did you get the damage boost from 75 to 124 max damage for Battle Swords?

The Artisan upgrade (~+70 strength=+28 max damage) is only a +8 max damage over the best 5th upgrade (+20 max damage)?
