  54 (4/5 upgrades) battle sword + 56 max (from artisan, 140 str from two swords) = 110 max. Adding G14 special upgrades (+6) you get another 31 max.

  However yes, I will say that in terms of smash/mill the damage is very close. Battle swords still win (for now?) but I already said that, and admitted it was close, in an earlier post

  War Swords = 92 Max each, 104 Max dual-N
  
  You applied double-Str only for Battle Swords. Again, the gap isn't very significant and you're still relying on a 0-70 Str variable. The fact that Battle Swords are cheap will be outweighed by the cost of Artisan Resets and Re-upgrades, unless you get really lucky from the start.

  Even with N and double-counting Str, War Swords are still much more feasible and pretty comparable. Honestly I wouldn't even think of going for a Battle Sword unless you have a plethora of NX, and even then I'd rather shell out for some better enchants instead.

  Oh you're right lol I didn't apply war swords artisan of 30 str twice. Still trying to get it in my brain it's 30 str not 30 max :P Ok so each war sword is 92+12=104 right?
  
  And as of this time, war swords don't have S6 so I have no choice but to compare: 104 vs 141
  
  And yes, 0-70 is a tough variable, especially if you aim to do it TWICE! But that's not the question here. The question on my mind is endgame swords :) And Battle swords are them. Of course, After they're upgraded to beauty, we can worry about enchants.
  
  I'll admit, the moment war swords get S6, battle swords will be doomed. But if they do not get them, then that is that. At this time, they do not have special upgrades. That is the deciding factor on this debate

  Battle Swords are Disposable weapons.
  War Swords are not.
  
  That in it's own is a HUGE factor. And currently for all that we could know, war swords may never get S/R type upgrades. This is basing on CURRENT updates which will placate us for around a year in all probability.
  
  
  Hell for all you know, in G15 there will be the One Weapon to Rule Us All.

  I just hate basing information that isn't even 100%Known.
  Also battle swords have some very mean crit. If i just slap Cypress or Wyllow on two of them and get lucky with the luck artisan roll. i can have over 100-110% melee crit with damage gear at level 60-70

  By the time we even get close to hearing news on that. G13 will be out and we will probably be getting S2 or possibly G14.

  Simply Put: Battle swords are cheaper. 20 swords for 1 war sword.

  Can't completely rule out the future though. Would've saved some people several million when Cold/(Gladiator) first came out, and then people discovered (Corundum)/Delusional was also implemented. IIRC, Cold ES was going for over 2m when it was new, and Delusional Caps started out at like 500k. Cold ES is now less than 100k.
  
  As for the Battle Swords, yes they are the best, but not by much (until G14 S6-upgrade). I certainly wouldn't trash War Swords in favor of it. As for the Crit, maxed War Swords come out 17 less with dual-Artisans. I guess it depends on your gear, but I was assuming Oblivions as a max damage oriented setup, which effectively makes any Luck bonuses beyond 30% trivial.

  I don't use oblivion for that very reason. I rather lose 5-10 max damage than all that luck.
  Same purpose why i don't use Corundum (also due to the fact i explore at the end of my RB.)
  
  I use an Age 10 setup for the extra luck. I could care less about the extra dex 11 offers.

  Dual-Artisan Battle Swords = 44%
  200 Will, 30 Luck (base+title) = 21%
  Steel Needle = 9%
  Fleet = 2%
  White Horse = 4%
  Cypress + Caliburn = 20%
  
  Total = 100% Crit, still not pushing past the 110-130% border you need for some of the harder mobs. (War Swords would land at 77% Crit). If you substitute more enchants for Critical, then you're going over 20-30 lost damage.
  Using that same setup, but with 5 Oblivian Enchants (Accs+Head+Cloth+Shoes) for -75 Luck puts you at 83% Crit for Battle, 65% Crit for War. Still comfortably high IMO.

  I use Maiz title. End of RB i have around 100 luck to play around with.
  I use conceptual armor my gaunt is WN Elegant currently with a stiff hat i badly need to ditch.
  
  Gear is massively incomplete.
  
  Dont even have a suffix enchant for my armor.
