[S]There is a site for posting your character sheets online for people to see. [/S]

But I don't want to dig through characters of a bunch of people that I will most likely never even do one dungeon crawl with, when we can have something similar to it on this site. :V

is it normally acceptable for someone to base their character off a fictional character? I'm planning to make mine a [S]medic[/S] cleric.
Plus, I cast flare.

Depends on the character I suppose. If you make the 9 millionth Drizzt clone then people will find you annoying and uncreative. xD

Such little space for Character Background/Mannerisms/Appearance... :l Where do our characters actually meet up anyways? In a tavern? [S]Also, do we apply items we've received from character backgrounds as part of the money you spend on adventuring items?[/S] Found the answer.
I put additional background and such into a text file, though I don't think it's really meant for anyone else to see. As long as you remember and represent it, you're fine.
Also, why is this Drizzt person so popular?

He's the main character in a ton of the Forgotten Realms novels. He's a drow ranger with two magic scimitars that has forsaken his people to fight for justice even though everyone on the surface still hates him for being a drow.

Tragic Hero, aye?
Well, the goblins comic makes more sense now.

So were we supposed to PM our character sheets to the OP by a certain time, or are we just going to bring them with us when we split up the people playing into their parties? Because like I said, although I've already made up my preferred character, I'll probably end up remaking my character into a class that's probably needed for the party instead.

Submitted. Thanks Nithi for the Character builder! I think I've fixed 7 potential errors with the character sheet I was making myself with that, lol. My character's an Elven Shaman if anyone's interested, focusing on the bird primal powers. I'll focus on a balance of supportive and offensive encounter powers, but ultimately my character is going to be far, far away from enemies with my spirit as my bodyguard.

I'll have to discuss it with the OP, but I was thinking now that we know people want to play and we know where the setting is that we should make a new clean thread where the first post will list all the information need to know. Rules, settings, players, etc. At that point everyone who wants to play would need to send in their character sheets and a rough schedule. The schedule is important so we can try to group people together who will actually be on together so that we can schedule the games when all the players can be on instead of scheduling them and no one showing up.

Sent a PM to you. My character right now would be human fighter (how creative Orz), if that info matters.
I will probably be the biggest problem with scheduling, given my gmt +2 timezone :I Even if we´d arrange the (possible) 2 parties by timezones, I could still mess it up pretty bad. So I thought (if possible) that we could make some sort of storyline tweak that would let/force my character to leave the adventure from time to time, depending if I´m online when the game sessions are taking place. This way I wouldn´t mess up everyone else´s game but wouldn´t need to leave it completely either.
This is just quick idea from a newbie who´s never played a single game, so I don´t know how this would work in practice ^_^

I'll send them to you as soon as I get home, I dont have the link here.
As for the scheduling I'm sure we can figure something out! :O
In D&D 99.9% of taverns are owned by people who used to be adventurers.. So when the very first adventurers existed where did they buy alcohol? There were no adventurers before them to run taverns...
