apparently someone said we are actually late, because gm said that we'll catch up to korea by early 2010 lol.
Yeah, I heard that last year.

I love how the Merchant class can't even train all of the life skills. ****ing useless
It would make far more sense to combine Bard and Merchant than to combine Bard with ranged skills. That would stop (human) archers from complaining about the merge. Nothing against music related skills, it's just that I want to be refered to as an archer and not a bard.
Also, NO ONE wants to play the support role. It's awful. You have to depend on others for experience and levels, you have to depend on others for damage and ultimately, you're pretty much useless. You have nothing to show for it. Lure of Ballad is an awful skill and is completely useless when playing solo.
Of course people will tell you to party up. Pretty sure that Knights, Wizards and Alchemists don't have to party up. They mention Arrow Revolver and Magnum Spam. Yeah, that's all archers can do. They say that it's all we need to be able to do. We kill ourselves out of boredom.
How about YOU support my range.
this is dumb all the hard work of other players would be ruined din mere seconds
Do I really have to say it?
Most of the people that don't like it aren't even thinking about. Classes and Mabinogi in the same sentence and stuff hits the fan.
They can't just change the class system without overhauling the combat system. Pretty much everyone in Mabinogi right now is 'DPS'. You have to be, you don't have any other option. There are no 'tanks', unless you are one of an elite group of people going the Mana Master route. Even then, your tanking ability is in MP, not HP, so there's no use for a healer (and potions > healer class, anyways). There are no buffs. There's no role for anything BUT a DPS class in Mabinogi. It doesn't seem like the class system change is changing this--knights are DPS, not tank. Alchemists may be intended for support, but they'll still die in one hit from mobs so they're going to focus on DPS (can't get hit if you kill it first). Wizards, actually, may be able to tank, what with 1,000+ MP and mana shield, but they'll probably be better served focusing on DPS. Merchants aren't a combat class. Dunno how that bard skill works, but it's probably not effective on stronger mobs (aka useless), so they'll focus on their range, which is DPS.
Actually I kinda change my opinion on this. I keep thinking something like, great, now I have to choose a class.
Keep forgetting you can stay as an adventurer, so this is actually pretty great.
Though I do want to master something without any sacrifices...

Well, the downside is you need to be a knight for down attack. However I don't think that this should be viewed as a bad thing. First of all it's completely optional, so why are people deciding to freak out about it anyway? It's silly. Second of all people don't recognize the potential. A good half of mabi is the freedom, granted. However when people are actually fighting I tend to notice something... they either just melee, range, or mage. Uhh, well... how would you like it if you could make those better? and even get a few more skills to add? It's unlikely that you'll lose any progress in the skills that you have trained before anyway, and if it does end up to be like that, don't bother with the whole system and stay adventurer (it's not like you can't or anything.) Plus that would be a "how to piss off 75% of the KR player base," since they capped all the skills. I don't think Nexon is that stupid, atleast in KR. Another thing people fail to comprehend is that Nexon KR is not Nexon US. It's called a Test server, and it's in hands that know what they're doing. So overall, it's not something that should be raged over. Really... it's optional, not only that but its being tested. Generally when you test something it has to be perfected. I think that it's just better to remain completely positive and wait and see what comes from this. It's better than raging and crying.
Please don't underestimate the ability of people, some people can easily explain themselves why they don't like Mabinogi.
As well, same can be said for people that feel that classes and Mabinogi work together without giving it any thought.
Sure it would be great it you can make those skills better. Sure it would be great if you get a few more skills added.
It's not great to limit these classes the skills they earned or to limit other classes of these "class skills".
