More Mabinogi 2

  i like the korean art style (which is the one applied here, looks somewhat like anime characters with a western style touch) i like mabi demi-chibi style, but mabi is more than just the graphics, it has many features that aren't together on a single game.
  
  The nearest we have to this is EE and wonderland online, EE with the class-less (but still limited) system, and wonderland online with the fantasy life part.
  
  I really loved wonderland but being pro-afk ruined it, everyone afk all day long, there's no one to chat with, the battle system is old school turn-based and i love it, but i like mabi battle system the more. There are lot of stuff on wonderland that i would die to have them on mabi.

  @topic i still have my hopes up about them getting all the fantasy life features we have right now on the next mabi, but im not sure since thats the same hope i had with vindictus in the past :c

  Looks like another Vindictus lasts-one-month piece of crap with no semblance of end-game. I'm not looking for another gender locked dungeon grinder with no professions/life skills, customization, or open world. So far, not looking like I'll play it.

  Except it's not going to be anything resembling Mabinogi, the combat system makes it clear enough. They seem to be emphasizing beat-em-up or hacknslash combat much more than the life skills/crafting/social aspects. It's definitely going for the gritty brown&bloom look designed to attract the MATURE GAMES FOR MATURE GAMERS crowd, which I wholeheartedly reject.
  
  It may not be Vindictus 2 in pure content, but it looks like Vindictus 2 in focus and feel.

  It also looks like it's currently in development and that we don't know that much about it, so going by the assumption that it'll be a "lasts-one-month piece of crap" will probably be proven wrong. That being said, there's so much hate. Wait until it's further in development before being an ass about it... :fail2:
  
  It has a lot of potential, and I, for one, am eager to see where they go with that potential. I'm not too crazy about the colloseum-spectatoresque camera angle, but the gameplay so far looks nice enough to be worth my time.

  To be honest, the game has been in development for several years now. I'm hoping that we have an awesome game in our hands here after all this time.
  
  Let's be honest, the combat is "vinidctusish", but what if, WHAT IF, the game, outside the dungeons is "mabinogish"? Wouldn't that be kinda awesome?
  There are early images that show chars around a fireplace, a bard singing/playing for them.
  
  I seriously have hope to the game. I trust in devCat, I know they will be able to pull this off and gives an awesome game.

  I feel like if something wants to go around with the name "Mabinogi 2" then the gameplay mechanics should at least be similar/ be a sort of extension to the current gameplay mechanics Mabinogi currently has. An example of what im trying to say would be like looking at Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie, Banjo Tooie was the sequal to Banjo Kazzoie so basically all they did was polish up the gameplay made the graphics better and added new things into the game while keeping some of the old.
  
  The game looks fine really but if they are going to release it with the way the combat is now then they should at least take the 2 out of its name.

  Well, according to the Steparu article, Mabinogi 2 Arena doesn't happen in Erinn but in a place called Avalon, so maybe that's the reason?
  And it seems that the players are the "Warriors of Oriana", though I don't remember any Oriana in the Mabinogi lore (though I haven't played for awhile so I may have just forgot).
  We barely know anything story wise so maybe, according to the story, Elves and Giants haven't "reached" Avalon yet and they will only reach it in a the future(patch)? ^^'

  Apparently people wanted Fantasy Life all over again, but wouldn't that have killed the entire purpose of the first game existence?
  People really need to wait so we can see game play OUTSIDE the dungeons, rather than cry and moan like babies now.
