  Nexon... I don't understand why they do this. This is the first time I've seen a publisher that bans for data mining D: (Although I haven't really played a lot of western games, I am not from america and most of my experince are from asian publishers like Cherry Credits, GameHI, Level Up! Games, Shanda etc.)
  
  Take for instance the game I am playing now, Eve Online, they even have an API dump of data every hour, a Dev Test Server, a Stress Test Server, a Staging Test sever, so they can get feedback and people mine the API XML data dumps to no end, Yet, they have a loving relationship with their player base.
  
  As for Nexon, they always kinda gives us the middle finger.

  Sadly, misbans happens and it takes days for them to get to your appeal ticket and if your account somehow got tagged with a "malicious thingie", they prolly wont even look at the evidence.

  The players should know what they did. If they ever engaged in malicious activity they have no right to say they are innocent even if they do not know the exact hack that caused their ban.
  
  From what yous said in your previous posts it is safe to assume that Indexu got the same message from Nexon about his ban, right? Then that would prove that NO ONE FROM NEXON told them they were banned for "data mining".

  It's safe to assume it if that's the only think Indexu could think of that they did "wrong"
  I was banned for paypal refunding my NX money, I didn't request that and it was NOT my fault.
  On the ban notice it simply said "Fraud", and I had no idea until I looked at my paypal account.
  It took Nexon over a year to get back to me and let me pay for me to be unbanned.
  
  So, no failchild, some people should know what they were banned for, but far too many people are falsely banned by nexcon.

  I would say this is how I was banned but I've never used PayPal.
  So I still don't know why I was banned and I can't even submit a ticket to ask why because I can't log in.

  Does this mean it's possible to make an account, buy tons of nx with paypal, buy tons of reforge tools and trade them to various other accounts, and then refund the money?

  I'm pretty sure you can't request a refund, it just happened for some reason.

  You can request a refund, but they go through this whole process. It's like court. You have to state a convincing, legitimate reason for deserving a refund to paypal, then they send that reason to the person with your money and give them a week to respond back with their counterargument, then Paypal will look at both arguments and decide who is right and you'll either get a refund or a "lolno" email. Even if they send no reply, if Paypal thinks you are just trying to abuse the feature to get your money back, they might still say no/

  "Threads like this" as in threads were people are able to discuss their displeasure with Nexon without the mods jumping on them and banning them? I've seen enough displeasure threads on the Nexon forums that have done nothing to cause trouble, to know that Nexon doesn't give a shit about their player base. We have no reason to associate ourselves as an "official" mabi fansite with them if that's how they're going to treat their members.
  
  So yes, because you have no official standing on this site or with Nexon-Mine all the data you want, because sharing information about future content is hardly game breaking.

  First I would like to thank everyone who has offered their support for Mabinogi through all these years. I understand that there have been many ups and downs, a lot of miscommunications, and a lot of upset players. Recently, one of the main concerns has been players stating they were banned for data mining. There have been a lot of rumors circulating about this, and accusations of Nexon trying to silence our players. We have mentioned many times that we are not banning players for what they do outside of the game. All we request is that you do not post your data mined information on the official Mabinogi forums, and if you wish to be officially acknowledged as a fansite you would need to follow certain rules.
  
  After making the recent posts regarding data-mined information, many players have used this as an excuse for their recent bans. This has caused a lot of anger throughout the community and we would like to clear up these matters. There have also been some players who are unsure as to why they are banned, or are saying it was wrongfully done.
  
  Below is a list of reasons that people have been permanently banned in recent times. This list includes the reasons for banning players such as Indexu of Alexina, Ikkisuki of Ruairi, Barding of Tarlach, and Araria of Ruairi.
  
  Each player had a few of the following violations:
  
  Packet editing
  Duping items
  Stacked elves
  Extensive client modification
  Multi-clienting
  Numerous counts of glitch exploitation
  Inappropriate names
  
  Please know that we never wish to call attention to specific players but we are doing this for the rest of the community. We want you to know that we do not wish to silence you or to ban you over trivial matters. Only when you are caught engaging in actual violations of our Terms of Use, will you be banned from the game. Again we do hope that this clears some of confusion that has been spreading on the fansites and that you all fully understand what is and is not allowed in Mabinogi.

Even Osay could read my nation inbox for PTS people contacting me if he so desired. Unless they count running Mabinogi and Vindictus concurrently multi-client, then I don't even.
