I went from Plantronics until it broke down to Turtlebeaches until that broke down and now waiting on my Razer Carcharias to break down. All of them are/were pretty sweet.

AKG K 601

And lol at the speaker placement of that dude.
A shame they're not manufactured anymore. Probably just to boost sales of their bigger sibling, even though that one is really inferiorly designed. They should have got rid of the K 701 instead.

Enjoy your ergonomically inferior headband and even more waaaaaaaay overblown midrange! Hah! Also I only saw your post after I wrote mine. X02 is good though, if only for the fact that detachable cables are much safer than a cable directly soldered to the headphones. Had some trouble with this already.
If only I could get the Sennies HD800. Then again I heard Sennie softeners tend to go poof after a few years, but maybe it was temporary.

I bought the razer tiamat then returned it for a steelseries 5Hv2 because I wanted a USB headset, but then the steelseries one was absolutely awful so I returned THAT and bought the tiamat again, though I pricematched it with NCIX so I ended up saving $30 off the first time I bought it.
Three trips to best buy over three days though, my dad didn't like that. He had to go every time because they required the original method of payment. (credit)
In terms of iPod stuff.. I just use cheap ass skullcandy things l0l

protip : Headsets suck. You would have been better off buying quality headphones and slapping an attachable mic on. Even those overpriced beats are better than gaming headsets since they're more practical for on the go [S]Okay I'll admit I also own a pair of beats. My brother gave them to me though.[/S]

My Steelseries Siberia v2 has lasted me for 1 year so far. It's uncomfortable though :(
My ears are soft and I guess my head is kinda big, so if I have it on for more than 5 hours, it starts to hurt my ears.

I liked my old logitech thing but it broke really fast as well. It's like the same price as the tiamat after I did price match anyway, so I figured I'd get this one instead.
Plus, this comes with a two year warranty. (visa)
Logitech does not.

I own headphones but don't necessarily use them, only for voicechatting.
For all other purposes I own a Bose system.

Yay monitors! I own a pair of Nubert NuPro A-20 alongside. Excellent pieces of audio electronics at a great price and from a manufacturer with excellent ethics. I really love those guys.
And you get one of these for every speaker! :D
