When I said misconceptions, I kinda meant things that don't make sense or aren't as good as you put them out to be~
About the two-hander situation~... Brionac, lol..
Honestly, if you want good two-hander damage, actually use that Brionac and rank Spark to rank 1(assuming you can get it)
Spark+Brionac has probably the highest possible damage rate in the game right now.
There is really no way you can use Brionac regularly and pump out that much AP. It'll be rare for anyone to pull out their Brionac and use it for actual damage, or for elves to replace a 2H with that.
Take advantage of it and either wear clothes or light armor, and use accessories as extra enchant slots! Dur!
Clothes or light armor will always provide less def, and +shield on top of that won't equal heavy armor either. Also, accessories are expensive to repair if you don't want to burn -> enchant or have a high-ranked enchant on it.
There were also some number calculations I weren't sure about, but I'm kinda tired to pull out formulas and calculators right now.
On the positive side, you're always using a shield and have that much more potential for defense and PD. An elf with a shield and upgraded light armor can have more defense than a human with upgraded heavy armor dual wielding.
You also get some PD to make up for the lack of heavy armor PD.
Can, but probably won't.
A dustin has 15% melee and 20% ranged PD as it is, if you take a kite shield and upgrade it even with gem, the most you can get is 11% melee or 13% ranged, if you focus on one.
I'm not familiar in terms of armor upgrades, because I don't use armor, but heavy armor is the stronger armor for a reason. Even with shield def, you probably won't have more than heavy armor def.
Melee for an elf is like range for a human, they trade off. Humans have to work harder to do good range damage, as elves have to work harder to do good melee damage. That's how it is.
Like said before, humans have a much easier time with ranged than elves do with melee because they don't have any real penalties there. They have the basic ability for every area of combat. With the dex they can get from life skills and ranged skills, they can surpass elven ranged damage. It's much harder vice versa.
I might've missed something, I was typing pretty fast.
